I am selling my '92 Nissan Pickup. This truck is very reliable, but has been attacked by rust. I recently drove the truck from Syracuse, NY to South Carolina and back without problems, and with only 103,000 miles, it is young for its age. The downside is the rust. The body is quite rusted, and the frame is rusting through where the cab meets the box. I took the truck to a collision shop (Northside Collision) and they said that it could be repaired, but that they do not do it there. You can see the picture of this area, and I would also recommend inspecting the truck before bidding. The second problem is the sound. The truck is fairly loud due to an exhaust leak where the exhaust manifold meets the "Y" pipe on the passenger side. I was told that it is likely just a gasket, but the rust makes the repair difficult. Then there are the usual minor problems: The driver's seat is ripped on the side, but not on the top or back. There is a sputtering sound, which may just be how it sounds due to the exhaust, or it may need a tune up. The hood release is not quite right, as it needs to be held or propped open while you lift the hood. (I usually just wedge something in there). Other than these problems, the truck is pretty good. I had no problems driving 75-80 mph on the interstate over the 1600 miles I drove. I did have the power steering fixed before my trip south, and I put a new radiator in it myself. I only bought the truck to move stuff down to South Carolina, so I have only put about 2,000 on it. Now that I have taken care of the power steering and the radiator, the truck does not seem to have any leaks. The exact current mileage is 102,924, but I will be putting a few more miles on it this week, so I listed it as 103,000. The title has the original lien still on it, but I have not even bothered getting it off as it is obvious that it is no longer valid. The bank that is the lien holder on the truck went under in 1993.
