19chevybelair57 Store Up for bids is my 1969 chevelle ss. It has the original 396 / 375 hp big block engine numbers matching vin. The vin on the block is 19a341298, vehicle vin # is 136379a341298. The engine code is TO324JD, made in Tonawanda, Ny , march 24 , JD represents 1969 Chevelle ss 396 id 8cyl, Special High Performance L78. Engine is currently removed and diasembled due to a crack in a water port. The car originally was a manual trans, was converted over to a turbo hyromatic 400, before I purchased the car 22 years ago. The manual pedal setup was removed , has just the gas and brake pedal. Still has the original 12 bolt posi rear end, diff code on it is CI, 3.73 gear from the factory.The car is super solid, straight and has all original metal, it was repainted 5 years before I purchased it. The interior is all original and is in great condition. Does have a slight tear on one headrest and a two inch seam is torn on the head liner. I have only put 5k mile on the car in 22 years, it has basically been in indoor storage for 22 years. This car is a restorers dream, would make a super nice start to building an original 69 chevelle ss.
