This is a rare 58 shortbed fleetside.They were only produced after the cameo was discontinued in June of 58.The engine is a 350 from late 60's or early 70's.It still has the original transmission,4-speed/granny low.The truck runs and drives very well,but starts to whine around 60 mph due to the 4.11 rearend.The pictures show all bad spots on body.The only metal that needs replaced is the rear wheel housings.They cost $30.00 in numerous parts catalogs that I have.There is very little rust behind front tires and a few small spots on passenger side of bed.There is a small crease in passenger door and a small dent in the hood.The bed wood is rotted,but the cross sills are in good shape.I do have 25 board feet of black walnut that I will include for replacing the bed.I have an estimate to completely finish paint and body work to factory like condition for $6,500.00.They have several cars and bikes in super chevy and easy rider magazines.My neighbor has a 70 chevelle they just finished and it looks great.I can store in my heated garage for up to 6 months for buyer.This is a southern CA. car and has never seen snow or ice.There is no warranty,sold as-is.I can help load on trailer or flatbed,but buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.There is a $500.00 deposit required at end of sale and 7days to pay remainder in full.GOOD LUCK BIDDING.
