Vehicle Detail
Original Owner selling a 2006 silver Chevy Impala LS. This car is mechanically sound, and has been meticulously maintained. Oil changes every 3000 miles. Major service at dealer specified intervals. The engine runs quiet and very strong. The transmission shifts smooth. Car passed VA Safety and Emission inspection in February 2010. Brakes and rotors were done in Jan 2010. New battery in March 2010. AC runs strong and blows ice cold. Heater works well. Transmission was services at 100,000 miles. I have both the stock hubcaps and the police style accent hubs (both pictured below) and will provide both sets to the buyer. Tires have a lot of tread life left. I am an honest ebayer, with 100% satisfaction rating that I am very proud of. I will now share everything I know to be wrong with this car...all of which are cosmetic. 1. There are two minor punctures in the backseat from moving a piece of furniture. Because the seats are velour, you can't see them just looking at the seat, but if you were to look for them or run your fingers over them, you'd find them. They are each the size of a pencil tip. 2. There are three very minor penny size dings from hail damage in the hood. 3. There is a very small (nickel size) chip in the passenger size mirror, near the edge closest to the car. It doesn't obstruct your view through the mirror, and still passed safety inspection. If you want to replace it, the part is $25. 4. There is a minor (barely perceptable) ding in the passenger side rear door. You can only see this from certain angles and lighting. It is about the size of two quarters and probably not even 2mm deep. 5. There is a paint defect in the front bumper under the driver headlight. I think someone bumped me in a parking lot. The paint isn't cracked, it just has a slight wave effect for a spot about the size of an adult hand. This is in the bumpber only. 6. The Chevy BowTie symbol on the front grille has a small crack running through it. An entire new grille with the bowtie is around $70. This car is mechanically excellent. The engine is so quiet and soft, when idling a red light you can barely tell the car is on. It has a lot of pep and can really move out. The only issues are the cosmetic ones listed above and all are easily and cheaply repaired. I was getting ready to hand this car over to my college bound son, but he decided he wanted a truck, so now I am looking to sell it. For buyers in the Washington D.C Metro Area, I am happy to arrange for a test drive. Feel free to contact me via email with questions. The winning bidder must either come pick the car up, or arrange for their own transport. I will not deal with overseas buyers- sorry. $500 deposit via PayPal required within 24 hours of auction end. The remainder to be paid in cash, cashier or counter check, or money order. The title is clear and in hand and I can ensure the turnover transaction to take place very quickly.
