Vehicle Detail

1967 Volkswagen Beetle Bug, I purchased this rust free classic bug earlier this year to pull behind my motor home for economical and cool cruising during numerous camping outings. Prior to that, I had my VW mechanic do a once over and repair all items needed to insure a trouble free experience. The following list is all the repairs completed recently and the new items installed; New Upper/Lower front ball joints New Front brake drums New Front wheel bearings left and right New Front left and right tie rods New 2" dropped spindles New Drum seals Front end alignment New Rear axle boot kit Trans axle service and new 80w-90 gear oil New Bosch Relay New EMPI sport muffler New hard start relay New clutch cable New clutch disk Flywheel resurfaced New clutch cover New throwout bearing New clutch pedal pin, hook and shaft New NK front 1070/145 R tires New NK rear 2065/165 R tires Complete tune up with electronic distributor installed Dual carburetors adjusted Now the rest of the story, After many trouble free miles, while in Yellowstone Park an oil seal to the oil cooler gave out and unbeknown to me, leaked all the oil out with the resulting engine failure. So after being stranded for a short time, my wife made it clear that we will not spend any more money on the beetle and she now wants a newer car to tow behind the motor home(maybe it was the grizzly bear). I am not sure how bad the failure is, but with a little time and effort this classic would be easily back on the road for the right bug enthusiast. Take a close look at the photos of this rust free classic and decide for yourself if this is the car for you to revise and put back on the road. The body is in excellent shape with an OK paint job (the car is extremely photogenic and looks awesome on film and from a distance), it has original style upholstery and has normal wear but overall very nice. All glass is good as well as rubber seals. The pan is rust free and the car has been in Nevada and California for its entire 42 years. Two small body issues are, small silver dollar size rust spot on lower driver door, NO RUST anywhere else!! and the driver door sags from 42 years of service. Overall, you would be hard pressed to fine a more solid 1967 classic volkswagen beetle at the reserve price that has been set. Remember!!! this is a 1967 and is one of the most sought after VW years due to the one year only styling. Good luck bidding, any and all questions will be answered ASAP and posted for others to view.
