Vehicle Detail

1980 Pontiac Firebird TRANS AM TA Cannonball Run T-Tops I am selling this car for a friend of mine who doesn't want to figure out ebay and the internet etc. So as for the car, it is a 1980 Pontiac trans am, it was originally gold from the factory, it has been repainted dark green at one time, it is now in eastwood primer w/ guide coat (does have a few runs that need to be sanded out). This car had a few options, power windows, t-tops, auto trans, air conditioning, radial tuned suspension, tach, power brakes, bucket seats, has mag wheels missing one cap, he is still looking for it but as for now its missing. If car is sold in California buyer will need a new catalytic converter to pass smog, it has been smogged but failed barely and so the smog shop said a new cat will solve the problem because it was so close. It does also smoke a little when it fires up. I assume it is valves seals seeping a little allowing it to burn a little oil on startup. This car is very solid still has alot of the original gold paint still on the floor. It is in need of full interior if you want to turn it into a show car but is fully driveable as it is. Has a posi rearend, which I tested and lays out a nice 2 wheel burnout (i had to test it!!) The car also still has the original pouches that the T-tops sit in. Has the shaker hood. I did notice one of the lower front grills is broken on Driver side. The tires are in very nice shape. It does leak a little bit of oil (not sure from where) It is 30 years old It has been sitting in the garage for the last 10 years and nothing has been done to it so he decided it is time to let go. The check engine light works as it should (it turns on and fires up and then it turns off) as it should work. Fuel gauge and oil pressure 40 psi, and tach all work. I wouldnt be afraid to hop in it and drive it long distance. If there are any other questions I haven't answered please let me know.
