All zero-feedback and zero-history bids will be cancelled if I do not have contact with you first. ********************* Up for auction is a very nice, clean 1983 Chevrolet Caprice CL sedan. This car is a one-owner vehicle that has logged only 54,000 original miles. This vehicle belonged to my parents. I will try to present as much information as I know about this vehicle. This Caprice was purchased new in 1983. The vehicle is original, except for the paint. This car has had one repaint in its original dark, cranberry/burgundy-maroon, two-tone color a number of years ago. The paint is driver quality and was not an expensive paint job. Despite the flaws in the paint, the paint is in very good condition and has a lot of shine and shows well. The paint in the door jambs and under the trunk lid is original. The car has not been involved in any major or serious accidents. The left bumper does have about a 1 ½ in. scratch and soft indentations and creases due to a parking lot "bump", like maybe from a shopping cart. Nothing serious and easily repairable. (See picture.) There is no rust on the car. The vinyl top is in excellent condition, with no tears, rips or cracks. All trim pieces are present and in very good condition. The bumpers are in very good condition with no dents, but some surface scuffing on the top. The glass is in excellent condition. The trunk looks brand new and unused. It still has the original and unused "donut" spare tire and jack. The car was under-coated when purchased and is in very good condition. There are some dings on the hubcaps and wheel well moldings. The engine compartment is very clean. The weather stripping is in excellent condition. The original interior of the car is in outstanding condition, showing only minor flaws. No rips or tears in the upholstery. Beautiful door panel. No cracks in the dash pad. Clear instrument panel. The head liner is in excellent condition, with no sagging whatsoever. The original floor mats come with the car and are in good condition. All of the equipment on the car works except the gas gauge, which quit working many years ago. The car is heavily equipped: Power: Steering, disc brakes, windows, seats, locks, trunk, antenna. 305 V8, automatic transmission, Cruise, A/C (converted to r134 with new compressor and blows cold), AM/FM Stereo Radio with Cassette Player, digital clock (keeps perfect time), electric rear window defog, map lights, tilt wheel, intermittent wipers, lighted visor vanity mirror, reclining passenger seat, locking wire wheel covers, cornering lamps. I believe it also has the heavier duty sport suspension. Mechanically, the car runs strong with no known issues and has been regularly maintained. The car is wonderful to drive and amazingly quiet. A new muffler was installed about two years ago. Although the car was regularly and properly maintained, maintenance receipts were not kept. The car also comes with the original owners’s manual, other factory literature and build sheet (sorry, no window sticker was kept). This is a very nice, excellent overall condition automobile. The reserve is very fair for a vehicle in this condition.
