This was the first year for the Firebird, it is a classic 1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. It is a very nice looking car that runs and drives but needs a transmission rebuild (doesn't shift out of first gear right now, could be a sticky valve or something but have not taken it anywhere to have inspected). I was driving this car over 60mph with ease up until the transmission started to act up. Worst case, rebuilt transmissions are about $800 and that has been factored into my asking price (basic used ones are only $300 normally). Over $12k has been invested in the car, it is not finished though but is almost there. It is currently registered and fully insured for $37k with Hagerty based on their appraiser reviewing the photos of the car that I submitted. The car is from California (I still have the CA license plate). Currently have it registered in NH as an antique and on the road. It is a fast car, and carries that classic muscle car look very well. It has a 400 engine (not the original), auto transmission (TH400 turbo) brand new interior (beautiful seats, door vinyl, etc..), brand new top, great tires, new front end parts / bushings, new brakes, good exhaust, rebuilt motor, body was taken off the frame for painting the car's frame in burgundy (same color as the car) so there are no rust or weak spots on the floors or frame they are rock solid, lots of new parts, new carpeting, etc... The motor is strong and runs very well. There are some things it needs like wiring on the signal lights (the tail-lights and headlights come on though) and wipers (wiper motor missing) and heater/air conditioning etc isnt hooked up. One of the little windows in back is off its track right now and needs to be fished back up. The paint is an older job, probably 10 years old and is showing its age in some areas. I have some of the paint used to paint it that could be used to to touch up a few pieces that weren't painted (valance, hood scoops, etc). The prior owner stated some of the body work included body filler around the rear quarters, but was very light. There is a small dent below the drivers door on the rocker and front valance that will need to be repaired before repainting. I also have the hood tach and scoops (see pictures). The top is brand new (still has the warning stickers on it), and is a powered top. It seems to go down easy with the flick of a switch but the motor doesn't bring it back up so putting it back up is a manual process right now (probably needs to be adjusted or something). The chrome trim/logos/etc not shown are missing but replacements are available online. If I can put my hands on the box that I put them in I will include them but right now I can't find it. I have enjoyed it but need to raise money for other things so will offer it for sale with NO RESERVE. Car is sold with a bill of sale. Payment expected within 5 days of purchase. Payment must clear before car is picked up. Car can be stored here if needed for 14 days to allow for pickup, if payment is received. It is a 30+ year old car and is sold as-is. If for any reason you come see it and for any reason aren't happy I will not hold you to the purchase but I will not discount the price for any reason after the auction is over.
