Up for auction is a clean 1997 GMC Yukon. I bought this for my wife to drive but after a very short time (1 week) she decided it wasn't going to work out because it's a 2 door and it is too hard to get a 1 year and 2.5 year old in and out of it. I am an ASE Certified Mechanic and went through this and replaced everything before she started driving it. I put in a remfg. a/c compressor and the air is now COLD. It has new brake pads and rotors in the front, new brake shoes in the back, brand new radiator, coolant and radiator cap. One new u-joint on the rear driveshaft. I replaced both the Transfercase output shaft and rear Differential Pinion seal's. I replaced the fluid in the rear Diff. with the proper hypoid gear oil as it is a limited slip unit. I also did a complete service including oil and oil filter change, replaced the fuel filter and checked the air filter, topped off all the other fluid levels. The transmission fluid looks good and indicates no problems, it shifts fine and the 4 wheel drive works flawlessly. It does not overheat and the oil pressure does not fall to nothing after the engine warms up. It has Leather seats and the carpet throughout is in fair to good condition. All of the tires have about 20% tread left. It is equipped with a heavy duty receiver hitch and a 4 way flat plug for the trailer lights I would not be afraid to drive this truck anywhere. I don't know what submodel this is but I am guessing it is one of the fancier one's as it is loaded with options; power steering, power brakes, A/C, cruise control, power windows and door locks, power seat on the driver side, A/M F/M Cassette with CD. It even has a compass in the little overhead console where you can stash your sunglasses and what not. It has the plastic dish type floor mats so you don't get your muddy boots on the carpet throughout the truck including the rear cargo area. The Bad; There are a few minor scratches and dings with the worst being about a softball sized dent in the right rear quarter between the rear bumper and the wheel well, it has a couple spots in both rocker panels that are beginning to rust through but nothing major. The windshield has about 3 three inch cracks around the rear view mirror where I'm guessing that someone was a little heavy handed when they tried to adjust it, without a doubt it will need a windshield, when is the million dollar question. Overall it is a very clean truck for its age and it runs great. Check my feedback and past auctions if you like, I do not say B.S. like this truck has no problems or rust except blah, blah, blah. I have never had an unhappy customer and don't plan on starting now. We have our own little repair shop where we do some side work on Diesel Pick-ups and Vintage International products and we know that reputation is your best advertisement.
