2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport with an engine noise. It makes a deep clunking noise - not like a rod knock - but revs up fine and actually runs with good oil pressure. I have no idea what's the problem. We took it in trade as is. The trans shifts fine and the transfer case goes in and out of 4x4 fine. The air is cool and all power accessories work. The upholstery is rip free but needs a good cleaning except the drivers seat that has a broken mount when it bolts to the seat rail. The prior owner was a heavy person. All glass is good. The tailgate opens and closes fine. The body panels are all vitually rust free. I noted the small rust areas in the photos. I have no idea of the rest of the mechanical condition but it was driven here for the trade in. The brakes work, power steering seems ok. We will sell it as is where is and for New York buyers we will sell it "title only" as we cannot inspect it. New York buyers will be charged sales tax on the winning bid.
