Vehicle Detail

Hello Bidders, Here is a beautiful 1955 Ford Thunderbird Roadster convertible in very nice condition which I will offer at NO RESERVE! It is the Rare & more desirable 3 speed manual shift. It is the first year for Thunderbird 1955 and is a lovely car, originally from Las Vegas and then from New Jersey in the past 10 yrs based on what information available. It has a clear NJ title and all of the manuals & paperwork, as well as extra parts included in the trunk. It is a driver that can be enjoyed and thus I expect a very fair $25,000 and not $50,000-$60,000 for a concours points car. Interior is excellent, trunk and engine look great, frame is great and undercoated, headliner is nice and original, whitewall tires are like new, paint is very presentable, just a few things to do such as install the emergency brake cable(included), tach cable, and perhaps only a few most minor things which I can not even think of. I just bought the car a couple of months ago as an investment becacause it looks so nice in it's baby blue and it runs so well. As you can see I have 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK, FROM 11 YEARS ON EBAY, so YOU CAN BID WITH CONFIDENCE! You can trust that I am a fair seller to deal with, all previous buyers have been happy with my finds! I will ofcourse still ask that you come in person or send someone on your behalf (if possible) to be sure that you'll be happy, as the car is logically being sold AS-IS WHERE IS This auction should bring about $25,000-$27,000 to be fair but I will let this be a TRUE AUCTION and YOU, the auction bidders will make the price. This car has a wonderful engine, it sounds great, runs clean and starts easily every time! Odometer reads 067581 or something close to that, I do not know if it's exact mileage, it is always state exempt for these vintage cars. The car was improved/upgraded to 12v system. Has a full stereo system, equalizer, and amplifier with extra speakers hidden, but speakers and amp need to be reconnected. I never tried the wipers, as I have only driven the car around the block a few times just to try it out and have a little fun. I really just bought it as an investment because it is so nice and the more rare 3spd! If you have any questions please feel free to email me then we'll make further arrangements. I need this Thunderbird to be picked up promptly since I do not have the space, I will gladly help you find a transporter if you need my help. Comes with car cover , extra parts, owners, parts & shop manuals and sales literature as well as clear title. Lastly, you will see that many 1955, 1956 & 1957 Thunderbirds in similar "nice driver" condition are being offered and sold regularly from $30,000-$35,000,with fully restored beauties going for $50,000 to $60,000 so I honestly do think $25,000-$27,000 will be a good buy for this very desirable classic and sporty roadster. I have 50 photos so you see it well and bid with confidence, please do be sure that you have the funds ready to buy this car before bidding. I have 100% sales as well as 100% feedback, because I am fair when I price something. THIS BABY BLUE 1955 THUNDERBIRD IS BEAUTIFUL, NOT PERFECT, BUT STILL A BEAUTY! I added the "BUY IT NOW", at a bargain price- if you do not wish to risk losing the car during bidding and just want to buy the car immediately. VERY LOW OPENING BID with NO RESERVE, HIGH BIDDER WINS THE CAR! Thank you!!! On Sep-18-10 at 19:29:46 PDT, seller added the following information:Hello Bidders, SUNDAY NIGHT-THE AUCTION ENDS! LESS THAN 1 DAY LEFT. I wish to be clear. While, like all sellers I am biased- I am also a car enthusiast for many years and an imperfect perfectionist since childhood. I chose this car because it is a 1950's convertible, it is beautiful and it runs well. "VERY 1950's colors"! A nice little American sports car! The first year of the Thunderbird and considered and American icon like the 1957 Chevy and the 1959 Cadillac, but this one is more fun and sporty. They were racing these in 1955, 1956 & 1957 and were doing up to 150 mph in the races!(I saw the dvd video of the T-Bird history) I preface with this because this car should be easily selling for $23,000-$25,000 as a fair price just based on my research and the selling prices. Any nice 1950's convertible is worth that price, particularly one so popular as the Thunderbird's! Others would likely be calling this car "RESTORED" and asking $30,000 or thereabouts and theirs are not likely perfect either or they would be $50,000 for perfect ones. To be fair, I call it "a driver" with many positive attributes. I just want the bidders feel a bit of ease when bidding, You can clearly see how nice it is. The price is still much too low and I certainly hope with near 2000 page views, +near 200 watchers that a few good &fair bidders will be there in the last minutes of the auction. I CERTAINLY HOPE SO!!! I tried to be fair by making it NO RESERVE, now I must hope that good bidder make my decision the correct one. I will contact the winner Sunday night. Thanks again for your interest and do watch for the last second bids if you are set on winning the car! Kurt
