1968 DODGE POLARA 500 CONVERTIBLE CLASSIC H CODE Well, I'm sure no expert on cars, but this big red Polara 500, was owned by a friend of mine. She is getting much to old now, to drive it, so now it is mine. It has been sitting idle in a garage for over 10 years. Here is what I know, and exactly as the information was given to me. First the minuses. This car will require whatever sitting for 10 years would dictate. (new battery, clean fuel, tune-up etc.) Just before it was parked last, the car had an in-expensive paint job. (Macao/Earl Scheib) She claims it ran great, and drove great, and had no issues. This car is 43 years old car, and it's sure not perfect, so I am selling the car as is. . Now for the pluses. This is an "H" code car. It has the High performance 383 engine with A 4 barrel carburetor, and duel exhaust. It has 330 horsepower and requires premium fuel. It has disc brakes as well. The floors trunk and body are all excellent and almost 100% rust free. I have no doubts that someone can have this car on the road again in very short order.(if it doesn't sell...I will get it going, and re-list it with a higher price). I have a clear and open title for it, as well as the keys. (the title is still in the previous owners name) I only want the buyer to be as happy as I was when I first saw it. I would much rather you plan for the worst, and hope for the best than be disappointed in anyway. Hopefully my photo's will help describe it all. Please feel free to email any questions you may have. My opening bid is 2,500 with no reserve. I have a feeling that whom ever ends up with this car will be very pleased with it. I honestly can't imagine buying a more original, complete, and unmolested, "H" code convertible for the price. Terms of sale I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can. A $200.00 non-refundable PayPal deposit is due within 48 hours of the auctions end. (PayPal for the deposit only) The balance is due via bank/certified check, or cash in person within 7 days of the auctions end.
