Vehicle Detail

Up for bids is a fantastic and VERY rare piece of history that is ready for restoration!! Everyone knows the famous c-10 is a sought after truck, but the original C-10 Super Sport Cheyenne, is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find anymore, especially in this condition! This is a Texas truck and has been as far back as I know the history. Below is a link to more pictures. PLEASE take the time to look them all over. Here is some information on the condition: Pictures: Frame/drivetrain: The entire undercarriage is completely free of rust, frame has no scales or pitting, and everything under the truck shows no signs of ever being driven where there was salt. The truck has a newer drive shaft and rear axle that have been poorly addapted to mount to the truck. The original suspension and trailing arms are all there and function and the drivetrain works perfectly fine as it is, but is not original. Brakes work, transmission works, truck has full true dual BRAND NEW flowmaster exhaust and headers. Transmission is a THM-350 and the engine is a standard 350 v-8. The truck was a daily driver and ran perfectly until the carb was robbed off for another project by the previous owner. I have a Rochester 2 barrel carb that has sat for a while and may need reconditioning but it will come free with the truck. If you pour a little gas in the intake, the truck fires right up and runs smooth as long as you keep feeding it. It was an air conditioned truck, but the system is partially removed. Condenser, core, fan, etc appear to be complete but at least the compressor is gone. There are many loose and spliced wires that need attention. Please remember, this truck is in need of re-conditioning and will have numerous small issues that I either may not know, or may have forgotten about. Body/exterior: The body of this truck has some minor issues, but all in all, you would have a VERY hard time finding another one as straight and rust free as this classic! There is some bondo under each door jamb that was done very amateurishly, and a SMALL amount on one fender, but other wise the truck is FREE from bondo. There is a small amount of rust under each door, a TINY pee sized hole in one fender, and a very small amount on the inside of the tailgate, otherwise the rest of the truck is completely RUST FREE! Even the bed is in great shape, with only minor surface rust and hardly any dings at all. he grill has a small dent in it and the truck is missing one piece of trim on the side. Also the drive door handle button is pushed in too deep but still function fine. Interior: The interior of this truck obviously had a professional restoration at one time and still retains much of its beauty, but could use minor re-conditioning in a few areas. The headliner looks wonderful, the dash has minor cracks but looks great, the door panels and seat both show wear on the fabric and small sun checking in the vinyl, but look great unless you look too closely. Carpet could use a wash but also seems to be in good overall condition. Dash and gauges all look original and in good condition(operating condition i unknown). All in all, the interior could use some reconditioning if you were going for perfection, but still looks good as it is. Glass: All four side windows and the back glass are all in perfect condition with no cracks. The may need to be re-tinted at some point but are completely intact and crack free. Windshield has a crack in the middle of it but is still intact and sturdy. Paperwork/legalities and delivery: Truck will be sold with a clear and lien free Texas title. Sale of this truck is FINAL. If you have questions about it, please ask them BEFORE bidding, if you would like to see it in person, you are welcome to call me at 903-916-0117 to arrange an inspection of it. A $500 partial payment is due within 12 hours of auction end. Auction is for local pickup, but I can deliver it anywhere in the lower 48's for $1.80 per LOADED mile. Delivery payment is due BEFORE I bring it. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY IT!! Summary of truck: It may seem to some of you like this truck needs a lot of work, and yes, it is a project, but please keep in mind, it was a daily driver less then one month ago when the carb was removed. There are many small issues that will need addressing over time with this truck, but it is all in all a very clean, very solid, very straight truck, and you would be HARD pressed to find a better candidate for a restoration project! Be one of the FEW to own a REAL, SUPER SPORT CHEYENNE!!! Thanks!!!On Sep-11-10 at 21:54:19 PDT, seller added the following information:For those of you who are not sure what a TRUE Chevy SS is worth, please see completed items. This truck once restored is EASILY worth $14-18k!!! This is not a regular truck that has been re-badged, it has the real genuine SS sticker in the glove box and the emblems.
