This is a 1989 Volvo 240DL that is being auctioned off with no reserve. First the bad news: The engine recently overheated and to the best of my knowledge has damaged the head gasket. The engine runs, though rough. I recently drove it and was able to move it to another location under it's own power about 5 miles away. I would not be comfortable advising to take it on a trip of any length. Prior to this, the car was dependable and driven daily. There are a few rust spots on the car, including on the passenger side rocker panel. The car has minor dings and scratches like any car it's age, but there are no dents or noticeable damage. To the best of my knowledge everything else works fine including the transmission, brakes, lights, locks, etc. The air conditioning is not locked up, but it doesn't cool very well. I am guessing it just needs freon, but I can't guarantee that. Speaking of guarantees, this car does not come with any warranty expressed or implied and is sold as-is. The good news is it has almost new tires; I think they cost about $300. This car has not been smoked in, at least while we have had it. The interior is in pretty good shape. The seats have no burns or tears and don't look to be very worn...see pictures. The winning bidder will have to make arrangements to pick it up. Transportation to its new home is the responsibility of the new owner. The car is currently located in Memphis, Indiana which is about 10 miles outside of Louisville, KY. I bought another car, so I have no reason to fix this one up, but if you do, it will be a pretty nice car. I kind of miss it a little already. Email with any questions.
