Vehicle Detail

Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. Here I have a 1970 CB750 that I personally restored last year and I know I will probably regret selling. Before I begin describing the restoration I want to let you guys know that a lot of time and money went in to this restoration. No corners were cut and no expenses were spared in this build. Most of the work was done by me except for the sheetmetal, I preferred to leave that up to a professional painter. First, the bike was totally dismantled, all non dented chrome parts were sent to the chromer for plating and all the non-scored bolts were sent out for zinc plating, any and all nuts and bolts that were not in prestine condition were replaced with NOS genuine Honda. Luckily I started off with a good low miles bike to begin with. The frame was sandblasted and painted with Dupont Chromacolor base coat clear coat. The motor and tranny were completely dissassembled, motor got new rings and seals, also got new cam chain guide and tensioner. The cylinder head went out to the machine shop and got a 3 angle valve job and new valve seals. The cylinder was mildly honed just to remove any grazing and prepare it for the new rings. An NOS Stator cover and transmission cover were used on the left side of the motor and the right side got an NOS Clutch housing, NOS clutch cover and NOS points cover. For the ignition, I used NOS points and NOS ignition coils and NOS switches. The valve covers are such a pain to polish and I could not find an NOS one so I had this one chrome plated. It looks so good that I will plate them on all my builds. the suspension was replaced with Genuine Honda NOS parts, The rear got new shocks and for the front new fork tubes with new seals and gaitors were used. All plastic and rubber parts were also replaced. The ducktail seat was ordered from Japan and it's an exact reproduction to the original seat (very expensive). As you can see in the pictures the bike got new exhaust pipes and they are HM300 NOS pipes. I kept all the boxes and plastic bags where all these NOS parts came in and they will be available to the new owner if disered. The wheels were chrome plated and the hubs were polished and clearcoated and dressed with new spokes. The tires are new and I regret not using a vintage style pattern. I can probably go on forever describing piece by piece and everthing that was done to this build but I think you can get an idea of where I was going with this. I have a clear Colorado title last registered in 1981, prior to the build the bike had 7000 and something miles. I rebuilt a second set of gauges and reset the speedometer to 0 miles and it currently has 8 on the clock. Those 8 miles were added while fine tuning the bike. I want to add that a set of used exhaust pipes were used during the tuning phase so I would not dirty the new set. I also used a brand new NOS headlight. The front and rear brakes were rebuilt, master cylinder was anodized as they were originaly from Honda. Since I had planned to show this bike I had drained and flushed all the brake fluid and also drained the front fork tubes. Also used an NOS horn, and a set of NOS carburetors. The K0 carbs are rare to find NOS and having a "set" is unheard of and extremely rare. Again, I can keep on writing forever. I will roll the bike outdoors tomorrow and will post more pictures. Please don't hesitate to ask questions and I will try to respond in a timely matter. Again, Thanks for looking and good luck. On Sep-01-10 at 14:41:04 PDT, seller added the following information: All the caution stickers are in place just as it came out of the factory in 1970. You can actually buy one of these from Japan for 2,400.00 Japanese Yen which is $28,000 US Dollars Not Including shipping. Check out the website http://www.yamiya750e.com/bike/B050.html . Some of you guys will agree that my bike still looks much better than the ones in Japan. On Sep-01-10 at 14:55:00 PDT, seller added the following information: The front and rear fenders are the originals to this bike and they were re-chromed. The front fender has the rolled front edge and the cut rear edge. On Sep-01-10 at 15:06:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Since I have received numerous emails requesting my phone number I decided to post it. If you have any questions regarding the bike you can contact me at 1-786-307-6901. Phil
