Up for auction a 25 year old Classic Sports Car, A Real Driving Machine, By mid production year the 85 944 Porsche a vast improvement over the 924 but still the 944 still lacked in many areas, location of switches for example, the boxy dash & console the gauges looked very basic for a German Sports Car with it's new look caught the eye of many potential buyers but found they were not so impressed with the interior layout with the old look carried over from the 924 left most with something to desire, Road and Track & Motortrends car of the year STUTTGART GERMANY Unvails in mid production year of 1985 1/2 Porsche 944 A completely different car it came with a fresh new sporty interior gauges & switches more user friendly, this was more like it what one could imagine to see in 85 but did not, Road and Track did an artical on the 944 tested at the Autobahn it broke all records as the fastest car on the planet, Considering todays standards it is no exotic nor is it considered the fastest on the planet but it was in it's day and for 25 year old car it still offers a driving experiance one can't seem to get enough of it is a true classic in a timeless body design, and the drivetrain being the 924 was the first front engine for Porsche and for 944 they perfectly balanced the 944s chassis which is why it handles and drives so well, Anyway just a little history for the 944 enthusiest this car holds it's own in the company of other Porsche owners but most are parcial to what they drive but nothing handels like a 944. This black beauty is just a great toy that just does connects with me the driver something thrilling everytime i get in it and drive it has the real feel of a sports car , It's amazing how they have engineered the kind of torque and top speed from this little 251 4 banger, supress the accelerator peddel sending the RPMS bouncing off the needle shifting through the gears and 100 MPH just doesn't seem like it so low to the ground, The 944 is a rust free car no cancer under no cancer under chassis or body panels the car is stunning to look at and i drove it up to Sedona Last weekend from Glendale AZ and this car flys, Originally the 944 came from Indiana it's been in Az about 4 years, I've owned several 944s this one I've owned about 6 months, just had it tuned up changed the oil & filter, tires are about 70% tread left after market wheels, door handle on driver side the button is broken off so you need to reach in to open or passenger side access, Please ask questions before bidding this is a no reserve auction so hi bid wins the car, if your local feel free to come check it out ASK YOUR QUESTIONS before you bid the terms are once the auction ends the car is no longer available for viewing no exceptions, until the hi bidder winner contacts us within 72 hours of the auctions end and pays the total due, once the full balance has been paid in full the car will be released for your viewing to take possession and or transport, we will assist in loading if needed, after the Auction is paid and transaction is completed, Winner will be provided with the clear Arizona Title we have in hand Notorized and ready to be transfered into you the winners name, Out of state winner, you are required to pay in full within 3 days of auctions end the car can sit in our care for 30 days at no charge, winner pays all fees for shipping and this car is 25 years old a classic certainly not in perfect condition runs and drives out very nice though it is sold as is no warranty offered or implied.
