1972 Jeep Commando 4x4 with 304 V8, 3 Speed Automatic Here is the short story on the Jeep. 1. The Jeep is completely original with the exception of the front drive axle - it was replaced to accommodate disk brakes in the front. 2. I removed the entire interior to find all of the hidden rust - leaving only the driver seat. 3. Front pads and rear shoes have been replaced 4. Front and rear shocks have been replaced 5. Points, Plugs, rotor cap..ect have been replaced. 6. Factory A/C that has been converted - worked before I stripped the interior (just needs to be hooked back up) As you can see from the pictures there are few rust problems (all commando's have this issue - I just uncovered them) that can be fixed with a little bit of effort. If your really interested in replacing the bad spots there are several websites that have new stamped sheet metal for less than $500. Other than what you see the body is in really good condition. The motor runs good (once warmed up a little), the trans shifts smoothly and the 4X4 works great. If you have any questions or want to come by to drive the Jeep please contact me.
