Vehicle Detail
Hey, hows it goin' , im selling my 1973 Amc Matador "The Machine" Clone. This is a fresh build that i spent the past winter Painfully Restoring. She is a really Beautiful And Fast Car, And sports a brand new Hi-Performance AMC 401, Which was built by Tuff Dawg Engines out of Phoenix Arizona. This Motor has it all - and was even specially machined and modified internally so that oil is transfered properly and efficiently throughout all the major lubrication points in the block. Besides the major engine mods, I was told by Tuff Dawg that this motor will exceed 408 Horsepower at the crank, and is coupled by a 727 Automatic that i also had built by Tuff Dawg Engines to specificly match this motor. So what does all that power tranfer to ? Whel besides the Custom made Aluminum drive-shaft and solid u-joints that all that awesome power has to travel down through to hit the rear, And the custom made frame connectors to keep that body straight If you decide to drag race, it all ends at a Professional Built Beefed Up Model 20 rear axle that sports Moser Custom Alloy Axles, Timken Bearings, Yukon 3.54 gears, and a top of the line Detroit True-Trac Posi unit that requires no maintenance due to the fact it doesnt use Posi-Clutch Paks - Instead it uses a Worm Gear Design to tranfer power smoothly and evenly to both wheels even when cornering. Not enough for ya ? Whel for looks she sports a brand new Burnt Orange Pearl paint job, Cragar S/S's , Vinyl Top, and Redone Interior Seats and floor mounted console with a Hurst Pro-matic shifter to give you that Manual look and feel - without the hassle of having to clutch all the time. Whel if thats not enough to get ya going, you should read the specs below to get more of an idea of what kind of monster your dealing with : Engine : AMC 401 V8 - with 408 Horsepower built By Tuff Dawg Engines Externals : a Holley 750 Double Pumper -- Edelbrock Air Gap Intake Manifold -- K+N Filter -- MSD Distributor, Wires, and Coil -- Mallory 6-A Ignition Box -- Accel Racing Spark Plugs -- Hooker Super Comp. Also almost every body part was replaced except the chrome grille molding that runs above the grill - It is in good driver shape, but will need a rechrome to make all the Chrome Perfect. Interior : Newly Re-upholstered Seats -- New Carpeting -- a 1970 Rebel "The Machine" Floor Shift Console -- GT Grant Nostalgic Steering Wheel -- Hurst Pro-Matic Automatic Shifter and also A Hurst Sidewinder Shift Knob that operates the Hurst Line-Loc on the Braking System -- and to start this monster, a Push Button Ignition Switch . ** Note : The Door Panels Did Not Get Recovered, But are in Great Shape - I just couldnt bare to recover them considering the only flaws are some repairable tearing on the top of the doors where the Front Door Panels and Rear Panels Meet - Just Normal Wear And Tear From Getting In And Out Of The Vehicle - But are repairable and great shape for 40 year old door panels. Now back to what your gonna get : This is a truly awesome machine, and is ready to go - Get in , Drive, And Go Anywhere !! This car only has 160 miles on her since Restored , and only 73,000 miles on the body since new from the factory - But i dont count the factory miles due to the fact that almost everything was replaced - The Entire Driveline is New, Almost all the suspension and steering compnents are new - besides a few choice pieces that didnt need replacing, Almost all if the interior has been freshened up, And the body is Freshly Painted with new Chrome almost everywhere !! - What More Could You Want ?? Did I Also Mention This Beast's Fast !!!
