Braker braker….is the BANDIT out there?? Yep, he’s right here! What you are bidding on is a true survivor car, a PHS documented 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Special Edition. This car is an original rare Y-81 special edition Trans Am (Y81 is the designation for a special edition without t-tops) Car has PHS documentation stating it is a true Y81 special edition T/A I have the PHS documentation for this car. Car also comes with original owners manual, warranty information that was filled out by the original owner as well as a stack of receipts from the past 33 years. This car was ordered with a load of options including: QCY GR70x15 WL steel belted radials c60 Air Conditioning (That still works!!!!!!!) c49 Electric rear window defroster A01 soft ray glass Y92 lamp group AU3 power door locks A31power windows U58 delco AM+FM stereo radio U57 GM Delco 8 track tape player N33 Tilt steering wheel Y90 custom trim group and most important of all for a whopping $457.86 Y81 Special Edition Package Exterior: Exterior is in great shape!!! Black paint shines nicely I’d give it a 8.5 out of 10. Decals are all in-tact and are not peeling or fading. Car has had one repaint since new, about 10 years ago. All wheels flares/ spoilers are present and intact. All correct items for the special edition package are present as well, gold grilles, pin striping, blacked out window trim. Wheels/Tires: Car has the original 15x7 snowflake rims. Wheels are aluminum with the gold inserts. Car has correct metal center caps with correct birds and correct lug nuts. Tires are correct size 225/70/15. Tires are Firestone Firehawk indy 500’s. Tires are in great shape with about 85% life left. The car still has the original space saver spare that has NEVER been used!!! Interior: Interior is in GREAT shape! Car has black deluxe velour interior. Dash is perfect! seats are great and are not busted of leaning like most cars, headliner is perfect, carpet is super nice as well. Being a trans am car has full tach and gauges, and all work, even the clock! Gold dash bezel, shifter bird, door panel emblems, horn button bird and gold spoke steering wheel are all part of the special edition package. Interior options include power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, a/c, 8 track, rear defogger Engine: Car has the original numbers matching 400 ci Pontiac V8 engine block code is XA. Engine runs great and doesn’t tap, knock or smoke!! Complete original engine with original q-jet carb that works great! Car has correct Packard electric wires are well. All vacuum hoses and emission systems are still present and intact. Car has a new starter. Original shaker has NOT been cut open, still closed off. Trans: Trans is original turbo350 auto trans. Shifts great! Rear: Rear is original factory unit with posi traction. Suspension: suspension is all good. Car sits nice and does not sag. Suspension is nice and stiff. Brakes all are good and emergency brake woks as well. Exhaust. Car has original exhaust, front Y pipe with cross flow muffler, dual tails with correct exhaust splitters. The bad: The radio stopped working, 8 track player works but radio doesn’t. I’ve checked around places and for $100 they can rebuild the unit. The right rear ¼ panel has a little bubbling in the paint (I’ve enclosed a picture to show the extent of the bubble.) Overall: this a great survivor car that has been taken care of its whole life. Car goes down the road nice and straight. The car is SUPER solid!!! Doors shut nice and solid and do NOT sag one bit!!! bottoms of the doors are rust free. Floor pans are solid with no rust as well. There is NO rust or bubbling around the windows. Front frenders are great as well with no rust. Car is 99% rust free with the exception of the right rear 1/4 panel that has the minor bubbling starting. Runs strong and is nice and tight!!!! A/C works and blows cold. Whens the last time you saw a 2nd gen T/A even with the A/C still in it, let alone working! Car comes with all books and receipts. Car draws major attention wherever I take it. First cruise night I attended with it I won a trophy. I am the second owner of this car and the only reason I'm selling it is to pay for a wedding.
