It has to be one of the nicest ‘77’s in existence! This particular car was purchased new from Zeigler Chevy-Olds in Claysburg, PA, which is about 15 miles away from my location. We have the original owners manual, including the pad and pen that came with it! This was a 1-owner car up until 2009. My Dad purchased the car from the gentleman who purchased it new in 1977. This baby was always garage kept, and in a climate controlled facility. Never in snow; almost never in rain. This is a very comfortable car and drives very nice. You will feel like you’re back in 1977….the car drives like brand new. It has the famous 350 V-8 (four barrel) which has plenty of power and torque. The car still smells and feels like a new car. The condition of the body, paint, chrome, engine compartment, interior, underbody, etc. also confirms the mileage. When we bought it last year it still had the original tires, exhaust, and hoses (however all these were replaced last summer.) Since then we have completely serviced. The car is 100% roadworthy. Please read on below to learn more about the originality of the car. Even all 4 headlights are original on this beauty! Exterior: The paint is a beautiful Firethorn Red metallic body with a white landau vinyl top. The paint and chrome is SHOWROOM condition….it reflects the fact it was garage kept. No bondo or rust/rust repair anywhere. There are NO dings that I’m aware of; no scratches that stand out (there is one minor scratch on the passenger rear quarter panel which was touched up...the previous owner told us his garden hose made the scratch...it is hardly noticeable). The exterior looks like absolutely brand new. There are no rips or tears in the vinyl top, and no bubbles underneath anywhere. There has NEVER been any rust repair or body putty ANYWHERE on the car. The underbody is very impressive. No rust anywhere. Although the undercarriage is currently not detailed, it wouldn’t take much to detail it, which you could then put mirrors underneath for judging purposes. Just like showroom condition. There are many more pictures of the car (including the frame/underbody) which I can email upon request. The trunk is also like brand new…same with the trunk mat and the T-top holders! Absolutely amazing! The inflatable spare tire was obviously never used, and still has the GM can of compressed air. No rust ANYWHERE. Interior: The interior is also in unbelievably excellent condition, and everything is still original. Smells like brand new inside. Cigarette lighter was never used. Even the cloth labels sewn on the seat belts look BRAND NEW. The seats, headliner, arm rests, dashboard, door panels, and door sill plates are like brand new. There are no cracks, rips, or holes anywhere. The prior owner kept the carpets well preserved through the use of the factory floor mats. The clock still works, although a little sluggish in the colder months. It may just need lubricated. The original AM/FM stereo still works great, including the factory original front & rear speaker set up. The controls for the balance & fade work like new. Has tilt-wheel and remote controlled driver’s side mirror. The Hurst T-tops are still in great shape and have no chips or scratches. No leaks either. Mechanical: Most everything appears original under the hood. As mentioned earlier, when we bought the car last year, it still had the original tires, exhaust, hoses, and spark plugs. We have since replaced with new tires, muffler/tailpipe, plugs, hoses (with GM stamping) and belts. At the same time we flushed the cooling system and replaced with fresh coolant. We replaced the battery with a genuine Delco battery. The motor purrs like a kitten and has plenty of get up and go. The car can sit for days and it starts up right away…no odd noises or hesitation. The motor/transmission have NO leaks. There are NO drops of anything on the garage floor. The transmission shifts immediately when placed into gear, and is smooth and the fluid is still red. We had a local professional change the transmission fluid and filter last fall. The oil & filter were also recently changed as well as the coolant to ensure proper protection, and my mechanic performed a PA Safety Inspection (valid through July 2011 next year), which passed with flying colors. This Olds could be driven anywhere. The A/C was working great last summer and this summer, and was blowing nice and cold. However, last week, out of nowhere, it suddenly quit working...the freon leaked. So the A/C WILL NEED SERVICED in order to blow cold again. Overall: You just have to see it to believe it. A truly amazing and beautiful automobile. If you are looking for a rare, unusual classic “time capsule”, then this one’s for you. I have sold several cars on eBay and in all situations had positive feedback, and I intend to keep it that way. 1977 Olds Cutlass Supreme Coupe / Immaculate Condition / 20,000 original miles! / TIME CAPSULE / Hurst T-Tops
You are viewing a 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme hardtop coupe with ONLY 20,000 ORIGINAL MILES. It has to be one of the nicest ‘77’s in existence! This particular car was purchased new from Zeigler Chevy-Olds in Claysburg, PA, which is about 15 miles away from my location. We have the original owners manual, including the pad and pen that came with it! This was a 1-owner car up until 2009. My Dad purchased the car from the gentleman who purchased it new in 1977. This baby was always garage kept, and in a climate controlled facility. Never in snow; almost never in rain. This is a very comfortable car and drives very nice. You will feel like you’re back in 1977….the car drives like brand new. It has the famous 350 V-8 (four barrel) which has plenty of power and torque. The car still smells and feels like a new car. The condition of the body, paint, chrome, engine compartment, interior, underbody, etc. also confirms the mileage. When we bought it last year it still had the original tires, exhaust, and hoses (however all these were replaced last summer.) Since then we have completely serviced. The car is 100% roadworthy. Exterior:
The paint is a beautiful Firethorn Red metallic body with a white landau vinyl top. The paint and chrome is SHOWROOM condition….it reflects the fact it was garage kept. No bondo or rust/rust repair anywhere. There are NO dings that I’m aware of; no scratches that stand out. The exterior looks like absolutely brand new. There are no rips or tears in the vinyl top, and no bubbles underneath anywhere. There has NEVER been any rust repair or body putty ANYWHERE on the car. The underbody is very impressive. No rust anywhere. Although the undercarriage is currently not detailed, it wouldn’t take much to detail it, which you could then put mirrors underneath for judging purposes. Just like showroom condition. There are many more pictures of the car (including the frame/underbody) which I can email upon request. The trunk is also like brand new…same with the trunk mat and the T-top holders! Absolutely amazing! The inflatable spare tire was obviously never used, and still has the GM can of compressed air. No rust ANYWHERE.
Interior:
The interior is also in unbelievably excellent condition, and everything is still original. Smells like brand new inside. Cigarette lighter was never used. Even the cloth labels sewn on the seat belts look BRAND NEW. The seats, headliner, arm rests, dashboard, door panels, and door sill plates are like brand new. There are no cracks, rips, or holes anywhere. The prior owner kept the carpets well preserved through the use of the factory floor mats. The clock still works, although a little sluggish in the colder months. It may just need lubricated. The original AM/FM stereo still works great, including the factory original front & rear speaker set up. The controls for the balance & fade work like new. Has tilt-wheel and remote controlled driver’s side mirror. The Hurst T-tops are still in great shape and have no chips or scratches. No leaks either.
Mechanical:
Most everything appears original under the hood. As mentioned earlier, when we bought the car last year, it still had the original tires, exhaust, hoses, and spark plugs. We have since replaced with new tires, muffler/tailpipe, plugs, hoses (with GM stamping) and belts. At the same time we flushed the cooling system and replaced with fresh coolant. We replaced the battery with a genuine Delco battery. The motor purrs like a kitten and has plenty of get up and go. The car can sit for days and it starts up right away…no odd noises or hesitation. The motor/transmission have NO leaks. There are NO drops of anything on the garage floor. The transmission shifts immediately when placed into gear, and is smooth and the fluid is still red. We had a local professional change the transmission fluid and filter last fall. The oil & filter were also recently changed as well as the coolant to ensure proper protection, and my mechanic performed a PA Safety Inspection (valid through July 2011 next year), which passed with flying colors. This Olds could be driven anywhere.

You just have to see it to believe it. A truly amazing and beautiful automobile. If you are looking for a rare, unusual classic “time capsule”, then this one’s for you. I have sold several cars on eBay and in all situations had positive feedback, and I intend to keep it that way.
