For 1992, a new Eldorado appeared. It was in fact only slightly smaller than its predecessor, but it was so much more adroitly styled that it seemed greatly so. Window glass was once again frameless, and shortly after introduction of Cadillac's new Revised gen 1 Northstar Engine &The combination of sleek styling and increased power seemed more like the great Eldorados of the past, and reviews were generally good. Sales were up with the new body styling, geared to the younger generation of sports car enthusiast's. hence the term "this isnt your daddy's caddy" The 1992 cadillac eldorado was a jaw droping change, that the younger generation went crazy to get there hands on..the car was extremely fast, yet nimble and very comfortable. it was shear beauty to look at, but was all business under the bonnet..the car reached incredable top speeds in just a few seconds. the 93-95 eldorado had more torque then any other car in it's class. the 1992 thru 2002 cadillac eldorados hold resale value and have a higher return for there investment than any other car in there class. these cars are still in very high demand and sought after by all walks of life, from the youth of today to the seniors of yesterday.. To own and drive a cadillac eldorado of this generation is pure heaven on earth.. its been said, they are wolf's in sheap's clothing.! The Eldorado continued for the rest of the decade with incremental changes and gradually increasing sales. The Fresh exterior styling of the 1993 Eldorado was in the form of updated bumpers front and rear, side cladding, and a new grille with body matched paint arrived & featured a slightly revamped interior with a new upholstery sew style, larger analog gauge cluster, relocated climate control system, and updated stereo faces. In the wake of increasing sales, circulating reports that the Eldorado would get a redesign for 1996 — similar to that which its Seville platform mate underwent for 1996 — the car soldiered largely unchanged into the new millennium. why change a great body style was cadillacs thought..although production did stop in the fall of 2002.. The car was also sold under the badge Cadillac ETC (Eldorado Touring Coupe) and ESC (Eldorado Sport Coupe). Not long after, GM announced that the Eldorado's 50th model year, 2002, would be its last. To mark the end of the historic name, a limited production run 1,596 of cars in red or white - the colors available on the original 1953 convertible - were produced in three batches of 532, signifying the Eldorado's first year of production. These last cars had exhausts that were specially tuned to imitate the note of their illustrious forerunners from a half-century earlier, and a dash-mounted plaque indicating each car's sequence in production. The last Eldorado was delivered to the Cadillac Museum, in honor of Don Massey of Don Massey Cadillac - one of the largest Cadillac dealers in the United States. IT HAS A REBUILT GEN 1 NORTHSTAR ENGINE APROX 30000 MILES AGO..IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THESE CADILLACS..THE GEN 1 NORTHSTAR WAS A MUCH BETTER PERFORMING AND LASTING ENGINE. 300HP RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX..THE 96 & UP NORTHSTAR'S WHERE ALL ALUMINUM AND WHERE PRONE TO BAD HEADGASKETS.. THE BODY ON THE CAR IS CLOSE TO PERFECT AS ANYONE WOULD EXPECT FROM A 93..THE PAINT SHINES LIKE NEW..THE CARS INTERIOR IS IN WAY ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION THERE ARE NO TEARS IN THE SEATING. THE CENTER CONSOLE ARMREST IS IN PERFECT CONDITION.. THE CAR DOES HAVE A FEW ISSUES THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. 1. IT NEEDS A MUFFLER. SOUNDS A BIT LOUD..HAS THAT SPORTS CAR RUMBLE...............(I kinda like it, lol) 2. THE HEADLINER IS SLIGHTLY SAGGING IN THE REAR.. 3. THE AC ISNT BLOWING AS COLD AS IT SHOULD. 4. ITS MISSING THE REAR VIEW WINDSHIELD MIRROR. 5.THE MOON ROOF JUST RECENTLY STOPPED OPENING. IM THINKING ITS A FUSE. AND ILL TRY AND HAVE IT WORKING PRIOR TO THE SALE. 6.THE FACTORY STEREO HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A CD PLAYER AND ISNT WORKING CORRECTLY..GOOD NEWS I HAVE THE ORIGINAL FACTORY STEREO ITS INCLUDED IN THE SALE.. OTHER THAN WHAT HAS BEEN MENTIONED THIS IS A TURN KEY CAR THAT I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO TAKE ACROSS THE COUNTRY.. JUST HAD A COMPLETE FLUID CHANGE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN AN ELDORADO WITH A NICER COLOR COMBINATION..IT'S ALMOST PURPLE BUT THEN LOOKS DEEP BROWN..I DUNNO WHAT IT'S CALLED, THE INTERIOR COLOR IS GRAY, "LEATHER OFCOURSE". HAS A SET OF 2002 CHROME CADILLAC 5 STAR WHEELS & TIRES..IT MAKES THE CAR LOOK ALOT NEWER, ALTHOUGH ALL THE ELDORADO'S FROM 92-02 WERE THE SAME, JUST VERY SLIGHT CHANGES WERE DONE.. FOLKS THIS IS NOT A BRAND NEW ELDORADO IT COULD USE SOME TLC..ALTHOUGH ITS STILL A VERY FINE CAR THAT GETS THE ATTENTION IT DESERVES,STILL A REAL EYE GRABBER ON THE ROAD..IT DOES NOT DRIP LEAK OR SPEW ANY FLUIDS FROM ANY PLACE ON THE CAR. SHE IS TIGHT AS A DRUM. HAS NEWER BRAKES, LAST WEEK I HAD THE HIGH PRESSURE POWER STEERING LINE REPLACED, ALONG WITH NEW BELTS..AS MENTIONED ALL FLUIDS HAVE BEEN CHANGED RECENTLY..ITS OBVIOUS THE CAR ALWAYS HAD THE BEST OF CARE THROUGHOUT IT'S LIFE.. I WOULD LIKE ANY PERSPECTIVE OR POTENTIAL BUYER TO COME AND TAKE A LOOK AT THIS CAR. STOP ON BY TAKE HER OUT FOR A SPIN.. IT'S HONESTLY REALLY A GEM OF A CAR. I CALL IT A LUXURY CORVETTE!! THIS IS A NICE CAR FOR A COLLEGE KID, A FIRST CAR, EVEN AS A SECOND CAR FOR THE WIFE, OR EVEN FOR A PERSON THAT WANTS STYLE AND LUXURY ON A BUDGET..IT'S CHAMPAGNE TASTE ON A BEER SALARY..
