I am reluctantly parting with my 2000 Jetta VR6 because I've found living in the city only requires me to have a car once in a while, and owning one isn't cost effective. The car is currently at 69,200 miles. I've been the only owner (purchased from a VW dealership), the car has never been in an accident, flooded, or smoked in. The engine and manual transmission perform like a breeze, and the 2.8L VR6 engine is very fast and fun to drive. I've never had any problems with this car and have enjoyed getting it out onto Highway 1 and driving along the coast. *the car has a current California Smog Certificate* for ease of registering with a new owner. The keyless entry works great, power locks and windows are fully functional, power mirrors work, the 6-disc CD changer in the trunk works, and the battery is almost brand new. The interior seats and carpets are in very good condition, and the rest of the interior controls just show a little wear consistent with a car of this age. The air conditioning is nice and chilly and the heat works fine even in cold mountain conditions. Tires are fine and there is a full-size spare. In short: everything in the car works, with very few exceptions. I want to be very honest and fair, so I'll describe the minor defects: the cup holder doesn't work very well (very common on this year), there are some dings and small dents from parking in the city, and a scratch along the rear driver's side panel (not through to metal, however). I'd sell this car to a family friend with no reservations, but no one I know needs a car right now.
