·· Beautiful 1987 Chevrolet Corvette C4. · Silver ext & Red Leather interior In hopes of giving you the most accurate information, I will describe the vette with as much clarity as possible including my plans if I were to keep the car · I bought the Vette at the beginning of this year from a non-smoking couple in Kentucky who owned it for 16 years and didn’t drive it for the last 2 years and sitting in a garage. I had it flat-bedded to my mechanic to check and replace all the fluids to insure the drivability of the car without incident. · Before going into storage the prior owner had the exterior of the car professionally repainted its original color and having no blemishes…it rates at “10” within 1 foot…It Is PERFECT. · It was my intension to add what it needed and making it a daily driver on weekends and those days when you just want to cruise with the top off and the experience of freedom · The digital electronic LED instrumentation cluster was professionally rebuilt ($445)…it is now perfect · A new set of door and ignition key’s were ordered and cut · The power antenna stopped working in the up position…I purchased a new OEM power antenna ($184.23), but haven’t installed it yet…it comes with the car · The car runs and sounds good and could use new mufflers · The interior is red leather original corvette sport seats that shows some wear. I brought it to an auto upholstery shop and said they only needed to replace some matching panels and reinitiate the power seats…this hasn’t been done. · The small strip blackened molding on the vertical side of the windshield needs to be touched up, and I left it that way so that you can see that this is a very minor cost · The tires are Goodrich 245/50-ZR16 and have about 3-4000 miles left on them but need to be replaced; BF Goodrich tires cost about $138/tire · The steering is tight and the brakes are in good shape and the transmission shifts as it should · The red carpeting is in good condition and has the normal ware for a vehicle of this age… can be seen in the attached photos · The smoked Plexiglas top has a small crack as you can see in the pictures · This is really a very beautiful car in need of a few repairs that are NOT hidden; and has always been driven by an adult non-smoker driver in keeping with the tradition of Corvette in mind · Did I mention the GREAT mileage these corvettes get? This car is also listed for sale locally, so we reserve the right to end the auction early if needed. · The car runs great, with a strong motor train for its age; and it’s all original. REASON FOR SELLING · My initial concern after buying the car was how to restrict the usage from new drivers coming of age in the family · I started taking care of the areas that needed to be done when… the company I worked eliminated the entire Government division and many people lost their jobs including me. Living in an area far outside of the federal sector provided me with minimal opportunity is finding a job. My funding for this project is lost and I need to sell some of my projects…I kept this until the very end. · I’m really sorry I have to sell this C4.
