For sale: a rust-free Series I 1972 Jaguar XJ6. Front fenders and hood have been replaced with the same from a Series 2. Short wheel base model. Runs and drives for loading on transport but cannot be driven since all running lights have been removed. Will need to be trailered. I have too many projects, need the space, and cannot finish this one. This would take a limited investment in time and money to restore completely, particularly if you are good at electrical work, which I never got around to upgrading. One of the most beautiful sedans on the planet!!! Includes: -Chevy 305 V8 with a Carter four-barrel carburetor -Rust free body, primed with sealer-primer and ready for top coat/clear coat -Brand new brake master cylinder and brake booster (brakes are rock solid) -White leather upholstery and door panels taken from a Series II – no rips or tears -Both 12 gallon gas tanks in use (one common feed to mechanical fuel pump on block) -Both tires (Goodyear Integras) and chrome rims in fantastic condition -Very cool hood pins/lock set installed -Clear South Dakota Title What is not included: -Rear Series 1 chrome bumper (was not worth saving) -Front windshield (rear windscreen present but will need to be reinstalled with a new seal) -The battery What needs to be finished: -Gauges do not work and electrical needs to be tidied up in engine compartment. -Engine needs new valve seals -Only the driver’s side window works (all are electric) -Replace front and rear windshield glass I reserve the right to sell locally and end auction early.
