The dune buggy is titled as a 1970 Volkswagen. The last time it was on the road was 1988. It was going to be my first (learn as I go) vw project but the same week I picked it up I also bought a 1964 impala ss big block.That project that I have to make my first priority. So after sitting for 20 plus years the motor will not turn over by hand and when I pushed the brake pedal a line broke but the emergence brake works, good for shipping purposes. The clutch feels good and the trans shifts easy. As for the body I don't know who the designer is or what model it is but I have never seen one like it. It just has a real cool late 60s early 70s retro look to it, with the purple metal flake paint that I was told was original. It only had a wash since out of storage and it has a good shine to it, there are some chips and blemishes I will try and get pictures of these. The top is in great shape it just needs to be cleaned. The diamond shape rear window does have some discoloration but should take to a cleaning. The passenger seat will need to be recovered. The floors are in great shape with the exception of the passenger rear pan which will need a patch. I don't think I left anything out so please ask all questions prior to auctions end.
