Vehicle Detail
All original 1971 C/K 5 Blazer from Colorado.4 Speed, hubs. Vehicle has rust in rocker panels and pans, rear quarter panels. This truck was a (1) owner vehicle that was neglected. Had been used as a plow truck in Divide, CO. at a private residence.I bought it approximately 3 months ago with the intention of restore. LMC has ALL you need. Wouldn't be too difficult of a restore.I drive it daily around town, always get high fives and "COOL" comments. Would not recommend someone trying to drive it across country.I put on a new set of Monroe shocks, and used a color restore wax., steel wool on the mags.Thats all..The paint had never been touched so it brought out the color pretty nice.Carb is the Quadrajet, and needs to be rebuilt. Is original, as is the whole engine. It runs strong, I changed the oil. There are no knocks, or misses. From what I've heard of these carbs, its amazing it runs at all.Power steering was leaking, put in Lucas, seemed to reduce leakage.I tore the dash off, it was all cracked and falling apart. $50 at LMC, it was tan originally.Front buckets are from a 84.Every part of this is original, except the buckets. I'm not a mechanic, my last vehicle was a 2008 FJ Cruiser. No mechanic questions, please.I guess I could have said "This vehicle is perfect in every way, you will not be disappointed". Probably would have got $8500+ then. You see the pics, I've told you the mechanical things typical of a 39 year old vehicle. . It is what it is.I bought it because it was un-molested, and ran. And the top came off.
