Vehicle Detail
This is Triumph somewhere in the 62 to 64 range. This is either a parts source for your restorantion or sale of parts or for restoration itself. (We have restored worse). The rear quarter panels were simply beyound salvage in any way (but they are yours if you want them). I have never seen quarter panels on a TR4 in such bad shape. Strangly, the front fenders and doors are in pretty good shape, you would have no problem what so ever restoring them. The Hood (bonnet) and trunk (boot lid) are in very, very good shape. As you probably know if you are looking at this, the hoods are no longer available and sell for a very high price. The engine does not turn over, I would bet anything it will require a rebuild with new cylinder sleeves and pistons. These like all engine parts are very easy to find. The tires are brand new! We obtained the car with the intention to restore (there are fewer and fewer of these all the time) and as all four tires were completely rotted, we had to install new tires to just move the car. All major components are in place - you would need engine work, battery, rear quarter panels, interior and top and all the little bits and pieces associated with these major parts. Take a look at the TR4's that are in very nice shape on Ebay and you will get a feeling for what these can be worth. Why am I selling - I lost my body man and after a couple months search, have not be able to find a new one so a few of our scheduled projects are going out the door as is. Shipping or pickup is on you. This vehical does not have a title but will come with a bill of sale. Please do not email asking for sales of individual parts - They will not be answered. Good Luck bidding. On Aug-23-10 at 20:51:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Addition: Answers to some questions: Yes - the commission number plate is in place. Yes - the hood and trunk lid are truly are in very good shape. Some one sprayed the underside of the hood with under coating that if you do the job right you will want to remove. Yes - the reserve is really low for what is here. The wheels, brand new tires, hood, and trunk, and front bumper are worth far more than the reserve price. Yes - I do have a set of carbs (they would need to be rebuilt) that are available but they did not come with the car and are not part of the auction. If you are restoring a TR-4 or want to restore this one, this is a great starting point.
