Vehicle Detail
For sale is a black 1993 Ford F150 Lightning. Truck has a Vortech S-Trim supercharger with a 7.3L front mounted aftercooler. The supercharger has a 8 rib upgrade and pushes around 8psi. Driveshaft loop has been installed but the truck has never been to the track with slicks. Truck ran 13.80s 5 years ago on street tires with horrible 60' times. I'm guessing it is good for mid 13's currently. I have slicks on new steel wheels that go with the truck. The trans has been rebuilt with a furnace brazed 2500 stall converter, full 7.3L gearsets (iron planets, hardened input shell, 4 or 6 pinions, etc.), HD aftermarket intermediate clutches and upgraded OD clutches (2). Also, there are various valve body modifications. Trans has a grand worth of hard part upgrades plus the converter. Engine runs strong, burns no oil, has no abnormal noises. Bassani stainless headers and complete exhaust system is installed. The supercharger is a Vortech V-1 which, for those who have not heard one before, runs extremely loud at certain RPMs, namely idle speeds where the uneven firing impulses resonate in the straight cut gears and make them "sing". Off idle, the supercharger mellows to a faint whine. The supercharger is a complete kit designed for the Lightning and comes with all brackets, Crane ignition system with in-cab adjustable boost retard, FMU, inline booster pump, etc. The 7.3L intercooler/aftercooler is a front mounted air/air cooler with fabricated/modified steel piping from charger to intercooler and intercooler to throttle body. The truck runs great and is reliable. No drivability problems. Interior is in good condition and has the 1994/5 jumpseat installed. Mechanical boost gauge and electronic fuel pressure gauge are installed on a-pillar in 2 gauge pod. Stand-alone Sirius satellite radio receiver with FM modulator is currently installed and strangely still picks up a reception even though I cancelled service 5 years ago. Paint clearcoat is currently peeling on: front fender tops, cowl, top of cab, and slightly on RH top bed side. Rust is starting over: the wheel arches on both sides (rear) but is small and isolated, corner of passenger cab is rotted out, small bubble is present on front center of hood near grille, and larger bubble on front center of cab above windshield. The front fenders and tailgate were replaced for rust issues when I originally bought the truck 7 or so years ago. The frame is in good condition though since all of the frame mount brackets (all of them) have been replaced. Wheel paint started to peel so I power-washed the existing paint off. Wheels are ready for re-paint. I can provide the paint and paint the wheels for the buyer, if so desired. Fog lamps are missing. The truck has been sitting for 2+ years. I have lost interest in getting it back on the road. The truck is worth more in parts than a whole so I'm making an attempt to sell it as-is before tearing it apart. I want to avoid destroying something that is still usable if at all possible. The truck is a bit rough around the edges but is a really mechanically sound truck with a few body issues that need TLC. For a minimal investment, this truck can be restored back to a clean, quick daily driver. The truck has a clear title and mileage is unknown. Speedo reads around 100k but I know there was a speedo failure years back with the prior owner and I never checked to see how many miles are actually on the truck. Suffice it to say the truck has been driven (and maintained while driven) for years and that this is not a 30K mile truck. It isn't a beat up landscaping truck, either.
