Hunter green 2000 VW Cabrio convertible 5-speed for sale. 98,646 miles, mostly highway. Great condition; battery and alternator tested in "great condition" at Autozone just a few months ago. Recent repairs include: New speed sensor (June '09) New starter (October '09) New front right axle (December '09) Major tune-up/internal wiring (March '10) New exhaust system (April '10) Two brand new tires (front) & new windshield (June '10) Accessories include: Air Conditioning Power Steering Power Windows Power Doors Power Mirrors Leather Seats Heated Seats AM/FM Radio CD Player iPod adapter Cruise Control Dual Airbags Reasons I'm getting rid of it: I am saddened that I have to sell this car. It's been a great car for many years - it was my dad's for years, and has been in my possession since 2006. But there are several reasons I have to let it go: 1) I'm having surgery on my left hip August 19th and will be unable to operate a standard transmission for several months. 2) I'm back in school come September and very rarely use it during the school year. 3) They just put two more Zipcars in my neighborhood and I live five minutes from the subway. 4) Car insurance and parking tickets are becoming more expensive, especially after moving into Boston proper. It just doesn't make economic sense for me to have anymore. No history of accidents; clean title. Runs solidly, gets great gas mileage, oil changed regularly. Perfect car for summer although certainly capable of driving in the winter. As with most used cars, there is no warranty, implied or otherwise. The car is thus sold "as is." All sales are binding and final. I invite anyone in the area to come take it for a test drive before bidding, however - the car runs very well and I don't think you'll be disappointed! The smooth shifting never misses a beat.
