We are selling a 1953 Oldsmobile 98 with the original generation 1 303 rocket engine and hydra-matic transmission. It has been closed up in a garage in Yeadon Pennsylvania since 1988 when the owner passed away. The car spent its life in Yeadon Pennsylvania both Al and his father lived in the same town. His father died in the 70's and Al inheirated the car so it still has the original/current Pennsylvania A title from 3/23/1953 still registered to Al's dad. Albert was restoring the car when he passed away, I have a lot of the receipts from the restoration. The engine was rebuilt in 1981. The car was painted a couple of times through the 80's, apparently not happy with the first paint job. Originally the car was green and white and had its first work and paint done in 1960. In 1986 the car's interior was completely and professionally redone. The car was also undercoated and received a new fuel system. It has had less than 100 miles put on it since its last inspection from 1973. We turned the engine by hand but it hasn't been ran since the 80's. It's been out of the garage for the last year and the elements are beginning to take their toll, the car smells musty. There are missing pieces of chrome, according to the receipts the pieces were getting worked on when he passed but they never ended up back with the car. This car had been sitting in one place for over 20 years and has characteristics like any other car thats has sat for so long.
