This is a 1947 Ford half ton pickup. It is 99% complete and is ready for restoration or a rod project. The body is really pretty straight. The fenders have only minor dings and are much straighter than most original ones I have seen. The cab is in good shape. There are the typical rust spots in the cab corners and corners of the floor. I feel the floors could be sectioned in without complete replacement. Under the seat is solid with factory paint still. Doors are really nice. The steel floor of the box is intact and the wood looks solid from underneath. The truck had been repainted sometime in the past and the paint has begun to flake off. It had also been sanded off in a few areas. I have hit these areas with the spray can to help prevent rust. There is one rust hole in an unusual spot on the front of the left rear fender. It looks like a patch was applied there and that in turn trapped dirt which caused the rust out. All body panels should be very workable for repair. The gas filler hole was welded shut. It has an original flathead 6 with the 3 speed on the floor. The engine and transmission are just sitting in place and are not bolted in. A crack in the head has beed repaired some time in the past. You can assume the engine will need gone through. The steering box turns freely and the truck rolls well. The two rear tires are leaky and hold air long enough to get it loaded but that's about it. I have the grill bars, some of which will need some straightening or replacement. Windows go up and down and doors open with the inside handles. A few of the items missing are the carb, right door handle, rear glass, and generator. The truck was partially taken apart and the fenders only have a few bolts in them now to keep it all together. All in all this a very worthy '47 project truck. Please ask if you have any questions.
