Vehicle Detail

First off the location of car is in Camden, Oh zip code 45311. There are two Camden's in Oh one is Northern Ohio and I live in the Southwestern one. Second, a non-refundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction close. Up for bid is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro project car. I’ve had this car for 7 years now and it has been garaged up to a couple months ago. It is originally a six cylinder car with a 3 speed on the column, manual drum brakes, manual steering and 10 bolt rear end. It currently has small block engine mounts. The car basically needs a full restoration. It has new floor pans installed and the subframe mounts have been fixed already. I have smoothed the firewall. The car comes with substantially all the metal parts needed to restore the car, most of which is Goodmark. The following are NEW parts: 80% quarter panels (includes trunk drip rail, but not door jamb), outer wheelhouses, trunk pan, trunk extensions and drop-offs, full rocker panels, tail panel, passenger door, driver side fender, front valance panel, and passenger inner fender. The following are used parts: passenger fender (pretty solid, no rust all the way through), driver inner fender, driver door (needs small patch front bottom corner), core support, stock flat hood (kind of rough), and all glass. I have the original bucket seats, rear seats, seat belts (had three point belts), and door panels, but these are in poor shape and need restored. I also have a box full of miscellaneous parts (headlight buckets, brackets, etc). Also included in with the car is a “fresh” 307ci sbc and a Saginaw four speed. The previous owner told me that the 307 was just rebuilt with 882 heads and a larger cam. I have never fired this engine, but I did take the oil pan off and it does look clean. The Saginaw four speed I bought off of eBay. I don’t know if the synchronizers are good or bad. NOTE: I took off the passenger side door to re-skin it. When I finished, I hung the door and with it adjusted all the way to the front, it overlapped the quarter panel by roughly ¼ inch. Believing that I just messed up re-skinning the door, I bought a new $300 Goodmark door shell. When I hung that, I had the same result. I talked to a few body shop guys that I know and they said it could be that when the quarters were replaced before, they could have gotten the alignment off and had to cut the door to fit. The previous owner told me that the car was hit on the passenger front side shortly before I purchased the car which would have been after the original replacement of the quarters would have been. And since the door fit and closed with proper gaps before I re-skinned it, I would not think that it being hit would have caused this and it is most likely an alignment issue of the rear quarter. BUT I am not a professional and I’m not sure what the problem is, I am just trying to be as honest as possible and wanted to disclose that the passenger side door could be an issue. You are encouraged to come out and look at the car if at all possible. I can't think of anything else, if you have any questions let me know.
