HELLOOOOOOOO   BIDDERS!!                                     I am very excited to bring you this one via Ebay Auctions! Let me start by saying we are a Porsche only race and customizing shop here in Pa. 10 years ago I would have never dreamed of building this car. My motivation? I saw a 959 conversion at a show built by a well known customizer and although it was OK it looked like a kit car with only moderate build quality. It caught my interest of what such a project COULD be if it were taken to the limits. That was years ago and I have seen others since, both in person and many on here but all just as poorly built. But, I always thought it would be a challenging project to get right and would be a true test of our skills.               So last year I came across a very solid 1979 911 SC for less than 10 grand. Nice car too! Ironically around the same time I was negotiating a deal with 4 time NHRA world champion Ara Aslenian, for the purchase of his one -off 959 body he had in his NJ. headquarters. We struck a deal and I went to pick it up. It was of unreal quality and he was very excited that I was going to build this car. And so it begins...........               The following week I decided we would start. All of the guys looked at me in disbelief when I announced we were going to build a 959 clone and it had to have factory built quality and we had only 6 months to finish it!  They really thought it would be impossible to build a respectable clone of one of the greatest super cars to ever touch pavement with such criteria and conditions Well it is done and I have been driving it personally for 8 months now and it is an absolute thrill to drive. It is ready for one lucky individual here on Ebay to purchase this machine.                This was a 0 miles build but the odometer reflects my 8 mos. of driving and now sits at a tick over 6200 miles. No expense was spared to achieve my goal and the total build cost is in excess of 50,000 dollars. Not expensive considering this amazing automobile. The engine is a fresh performance built 3.0 mated to a 915 5 spd. transmission. This is a bullet -proof drivetrain if you know these cars. I have had this car to 130 during shakedown runs, and it is a solid piece of granite. No shakes, shimmies ,squeaks, or rattles and it had plenty left in her. The engine winds up very quickly and pulls hard and smooth, and the sound through the custom exhaust is incredible.                  Everything functions properly in this car and it is a purpose built car and no A/C system was installed. You can do that yourself if you wish. To say this car is a head-turner is a gross understatement, it is a neck- breaker! Everytime you take it out people are snapping cell phone pics and chasing you around trying to get a better look. Amazing. The fit and finish of the body is excellent and the panel gaps are even cleaner than the original 959, and I have personally inspected 3 of them in the past. The paint is 99% perfect and is glossy and flat as factory. This is a "no surprises car" and you can rest assured it's quality far exceeds any you have seen before.                 My intention before I ever started on this car was to sell it. I only built it to achieve a personal goal and to meet a challenge I had set. But when the car was completed I could hardly bare to part with it which surprised me the most, but it is just that nice! There is over 500 man hours in this project and it shows in the fit, finish and details. It is simply beautiful!              GOOD LUCK AND GOOD BIDDING TO ALL!                                   Any serious buyers encouraged to inquire at 717-451-3828                                                                             KevinOn Aug-16-10 at 12:36:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that the car was appraised at 70,000 and currently insured by Hagerty collector insurance for 50,000. This could probably be transferred to the new owner easily enough. Also a bidder has asked me about the aerodynamic qualities of this car with the modifications. I thought it would be easier to answer that one here in the description section. I have had many 911's of all vintages and can tell you Porsche new what they were doing with this body configuration. At 100MPH this car takes on VERY different characteristics than a standard 911. It tightens to the road and becomes more assured rather than jittery like the standard 911. It feels more like a 993 that has been prepped a bit. It truly yawns at these speeds where the 911 will keep your hands and eyes very busy! On Aug-16-10 at 16:22:42 PDT, seller added the following information: misspelled KNEW!On Aug-16-10 at 16:58:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a thread on Rennlist about the car. There are a lot of people who have seen the car in person at regional shows the past year or so and a few of them posted here if interested.http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=585383&referrerid=23487On Aug-20-10 at 16:51:35 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello again everyone. I kind of feel weird posting this here because it's not fair to the lady who made me an offer, but if I don't it is not fair to my 26 current bidders. So Here it is. Avery nice lady (doctor) has a serious offer (22,000) on the table and I'm thinking hard about it so like I said I am posting this to be fair to the bidders on here and hoping if she sees this she will understand. So in other words if your serious about this awesome car don't let your keyboard get too dusty. Kevin
