Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1991 Honda Civic LX 4 Door Sedan – Automatic Transmission Original Owner! 125,733 Miles! Great Shape! Southern California Car – Never driven on snow or salt! No cigarette smoke and no pets in this car! The car is in the Los Angeles area. If you wish to see it in person I will show it however I will only accept offers through eBay. Feel free to email questions but please do not email with offers. Please read all information before bidding – thanks! Factory accessories include: Automatic transmissionAir conditioningPower windowsPower door locksPower steeringPower brakesCruise controlDual power mirrors4 speaker stereo (upgraded - see below, I also have the original radio)Intermittent wipers / windshield sprayerRear window defrosterDigital clock The good: This car is one of our family sedans. We purchased it new in 1991. It has been well maintained – ALL accessories work… the air conditioning, cruise control, all four power windows and door locks, both power mirrors, and more. We were not planning on selling the car yet so we recently rebuilt the transmission and added a new JVC HD stereo with CD player and new speakers – more details on those items below. The car does not need any service. The brakes were just done in August. The oil was just changed with premium full synthetic Pennzoil by our local Jiffy Lube. As mentioned the transmission was recently rebuilt so the transmission fluid is new. I had my mechanic check the car to be sure it did not need anything prior to sale. He set the timing and checked the plugs, cap and rotor, air filter and all fluid levels. The car still has its original engine and transmission – as mentioned the transmission was recently rebuilt. I have the official DMV issued title for the car and the original owner’s manual. Floor mats, a new set of keys made by the dealer, and a full tank of gas are also included. Transmission – The transmission was rebuilt 08/25/2009 at 120,860 miles by Culver City Transmission (Culver City is in the Los Angeles area 6 miles north of LAX). I have the receipt and the shop warrantees the work for 24 months or 24,000 miles. The car currently has 125,733 miles on the odometer. JVC HD Stereo with CD player and remote control – I installed a new stereo in November 2009. It will automatically grab HD radio signals. Simply tune in your regular station and if HD is available it will automatically switch to HD. If the HD signal is lost it will seamlessly switch to regular FM! When installing the stereo and the speakers no wires were cut - a plug was made to plug the stereo directly into the factory wiring harness and converters were purchased to plug the speakers directly into the factory speaker plugs. The dash was not cut and no holes were drilled – the radio and the speakers match the factory openings. I replaced the front speakers with Pioneer three way speakers when the radio was replaced. The rear speakers were replaced years ago. The bad: The car has been in minor accidents over the years. I don’t remember the details but I can tell you that it has never been in a major accident – we were able to drive it away from all the fender benders it has ever been involved in. The trim at the base of the windshield and on the driver’s door looks a little out of place / loose at the edge - may need re-seating and/or new plastic snaps. I notice that sometimes in order to release the hood you must first push down on the hood before pulling the release lever inside the car. The bumpers are scuffed in the corners and the paint on the hood is looking weathered. The carpet looks good but it does have coffee stains in it – see pictures. The car does not have cup holders. I recommend you buy an organizer (Thule organizers sold by Target for example) and put it on the front passenger seat to hold drinks. Lastly keep in mind that though the car is in very good condition, it is a 1991. It runs and drives well but these earlier Civics just don’t have the acceleration of late model Civics. It will easily cruise at highway speeds and it will downshift and accelerate nicely if you press the gas but compared to newer cars it does feel slow when accelerating from a stop and the engine and the shifting are not quite as smooth as they are in later model Civics. Terms of sale Bid with confidence – this is a 10 year old eBay account with excellent feedback! The car is sold as-is where-is. I will answer any questions about the car and I will disclose everything I know about the car, however, I can not provide any guarantees or warrantees. I will assist in shipping the car - I can deliver the car to a shipper or pick you up at the airport, but transportation beyond that is the buyer’s responsibility. I will not release the car until the payment clears the bank. This will take up to three days even for money orders. If you wish to take the car on the day of sale you must pay in cash and you must accompany me to the bank for the deposit. Sorry for the inconvenience but there are scams, bad checks, and even bad cash out there now! Thank you for visiting my listing!
