rimsplusinc Store Up for sale is our 1962 Mercury Monterey Custom, this monterey has the x code 352 cubic inch motor and automatic transmission. The car is in excellent condition and would be a great cruiser for you and your family or friends. The car is complete and is not missing any trim or parts. The odometer states 72,877 which i believe to be correct. The car starts on the first turn of the key every time, and idles great. It has a new alternator (the generator was replaced as it was no longer working but it is included, and is in the trunk of the car). New spark plugs, new thermostat, new water pump, and a new battery, the gas tank was also removed and cleaned about 2 months ago. The car has very minimal surface rust which is shown in the pictures, and is only by the two rear wheels. There is some peeling of the paint on the passenger side doors and top of car. And the interior of the car is very nice and could be restored very easily with some seams re-stitched. The car runs and drives down the street good but does need someone to adjust the timing as it does have some hesitation. One other thing the car needs to be perfect is the shifter linkage could use adjusting because you have to hold the shifter up in the park position to start the car (it rests between park and reverse when not being held up). The car also has a exhaust near the rear of the car. (The car was not washed before the pics were taken, the trim and all stainless looks much better when clean.) This car is for lack of a better word "Awesome" but i need the money to help expand my business ( i can restore a car when i am retired). When people see this car they don't even know what it is because they are very rare, i can guarantee you will not see another one of these cruising down the street in your town.
