Hello, I have up for auction a 1999 5 Series BMW 540iA . I am selling this for a family member and if you would like to get a hold of him, let me know and I will give you his contact information... Thanks! Mechanical: The engine is a 4.4L DOHC 32 Valve V8 that has 151,083 original miles +/- due to people test driving the car.. Still runs very strong with lots of power and doesn't smoke. The tranny shifts smooth as well. I notice when I test drove it, that it does slightly pull to the left but by NO means does it YANK to the left. It could be the low profile tires or a shock that might need replaced due to normal wear. I had this car parked in my drive over night and when I moved it to take pictures, I did NOT see any fluids where it had sat. This car is very reliable and a blast to drive. I metion things as I would want told to me as if I was buying the car because I take pride in everything I sell or do. BODY: The body on the vehicle is good and solid and the paint shines up nicely as well. There is a few minor issues and I took pictures so you can see what I'm metioning. There is a scratch next to the passenger front fender, the bumper on the drivers side has came loose but its not flopping around or anything like that. I think a bolt just has came loose or missing. One wheel is different than the others, but the match is in the truck.(see picture). One thing that bugs me is it is missing the front fog lights. You really can't notice to much because of how low they are to the ground, but I would like to have them on if I owned the car. Interior: It has a Factory AM/FM Cassette Stereo with 6 Disc CD Changer that sounds great! The Air Condition works great and will freeze you out, which does have climate control. The steering wheel moves to and from, but I have noticed that the up and down isn't working properly. I can hear it trying, but I dont see it doing anything. The dome lights and the moon roof all work as they should with no issues The seats have no holes or tears but they are leather and as most 10yr old vehicle they do have the dry leather cracks due to the heat from the sun. I don't even know how to word that? The driver seat is the worst and really the others are not all that bad. Its not an eye sore inside by no means! The driver side plastice control piece has came off but all the controls work (see pic). The drivers back window seems to have came off track. I can hear the motor going up and down, but the window stays up. All the other windows work properly. I am human and could have over looked little things, but I try my best to not mislead anything in my auctions. I price to move fast and make people happy for what they got for thier $$$. The car list's for 5,250 in fair condition on KBB (Private Party) I have the "Buy it Now" below that! The over all of this vehicle, if I had to rate it on a 1 - 10 scale, I would give it a 7 and for the price I'm selling it for would be a 10.
