Vehicle Detail
1912 Model T Ford. Only a few parts missing need for completion. Needs radiator, windshield, top, and a few other minor things. This car runs & drives great. The original radiator is gone, and will need to be replaced to drive car. The top irons will be included, however will need work to make complete top. This is a great project that won't need much to complete. Engine was taken apart in the late 90's, bored, honed, and cleaned up and a new top end installed. Rear wheels have had the spokes removed, sanded, and stained, The front wheels have also had the spokes removed, sanded, and reassembled without staining, they will require finishing. Front fenders are a few years old, the rest of the tin is believed to be original. This car was originally to be a roadster, with a mother-in-law seat in the rear. The owner changed it to a pick up bed with oak side rails. The floor of the bed will also need to be completed, there is nothing there currently. This car was drivin until last fall when the radiator was removed and a new one was intended to be installed, but never was. The headlights are Brown model 19. They have signs of being previously repaired, and will need electric inserts, or the gas fixtures installed. The reserve on this car is set low because the new owner will have to spend some money to get the car completed, however it is a great project car that will be a fine piece to your collection. The car is located just outside Buffalo, NY and the buyer will have to arrange pick up. A non-refundable down payment of $250.00 is due no later than 48 hours after auction end. Final payment can be worked out with seller. The seller reserves the right to end auction at any time. Thank YouOn Aug-12-10 at 15:23:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: It has been brought to my attention that this ad is misleading in that people may think the vehicle is an original 1912. This car is a non original 1912, it has been built to be a 1912 from original Model T parts. Original 1912 Model T's are extremely rare, at much more expensive that the reserve on this car. The top half of the engine is a 21. The original was damaged beyond repair, however the bottom half is believed to be a 12. Please e-mail me with any questions you have and I will happily, and honestly answer them. I am by no way trying to sell a vehicle for something it's not. Thanks again.
