Vehicle Detail

THIS IS A PROJECT CAR - the motor runs, but has a transmission linkage problem, needs cosmetics, etc 1959 AMC Rambler Custom Six Has 196 cid straight-six motor 3 spd column shift w/ overdrive. Teal exterior with teal/black/white tri-tone interior. Very unique and extremely uncommon car, I have over $1300 invested. Body - Paint is faded, some pitting on bumpers, 99% complete, some surface rust but no 'serious' rust Interior - Complete interior, but door panels and headliner falling off, dash pad torn up, actual dash, gauges and seats in good condition Motor - Starts and idles, no obvious problems, has new carburetor, but is missing the top air cleaner Transmission - Engages 2nd and 3rd gears, but will not engage 1st or reverse. Problem with the linkage as far as I can tell Brakes - New hardware installed (master cyl, wheel cylinders) but needs adjusting, may have one bad wheel bearing Includes set of 5 hubcaps, also 2 spare wheels, factory jack. See pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/20049255@N02/sets/72157623399174979/ SEE HER DRIVE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgbv0RW5DdU Too many cars and I'm moving, need to sell this car at a sacrifice price - NO RESERVE AUCTION Excellent candidate for restoration, I have a clear pink slip, questions welcome and happy bidding!!!On Aug-16-10 at 12:59:58 PDT, seller added the following information:I forgot to mention: the gas tank has been removed, professionally cleaned & etched, and replaced. She does NOT smoke anymore like in the YouTube video. That was the FIRST time she drove in several years, and the smoke is from the ATF we put down the cylinders before turning her over. So there's a lot of people watching this auction but nobody bidding. The NADA guide puts this model between $3575 - $9150, as seen here: http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-22-1-5013-0-0-0&l=1&w=22&p=1&f=5014&y=1959&m=1323&d=5192&c=14&vi=85000&z=94301&da=-1 And I have over $1300 invested in her, but I'm in a tight spot so I'm letting her go for $700. I worked hard to revive her, and just want to see her go to a good home. Thanks.
