1973 Dodge Dart Sport: I am relunctantly selling this beautiful Dodge Dart Sport as I am going a different direction and looking for a Harley Softail and will entertain any Harley trade offers. This is a recent restoration. The car has been driven only 2400 miles since being completely restored. Almost every nut and bolt and component has been replaced, refurbished or reconditioned. This Dart Sport was born and bred in California; now resides in North Dakota. DETAILS OF AUCTION: The car is absolutely available for inspection. I would encourage you to see the car before you buy. I will end the auction with a realistic offer with cash-in-hand. A deposit of $500.00 is immediately required within 48 hours at the close of the auction. It is up to you to have financing and shipping set before you bid. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: This Dodge Dart Sport is a 318 V-8 with an automatic transmission. The car is painted in HEMI ORANGE; not a "Trailer Queen" it is driven, but will win you honors at local car shows though. This car has factory air conditioning, power-steering, power brakes, AM/FM radio, console shifter, dual exhaust, fold down rear seat, trunk light, map lights, tinted glass, and fender turn signal indicator lights. The paint is good, but it does have a few minor flaws, which you really have to look for (light scratches, small bubble in the lower portion of the rocker panel and a pilot hole behind the passenger mirror, which is for the correct sport mirrors that will be included in the auction). BODY: The body was in overall very good condition with no major damage or rust. The floor boards, frame rails, engine compartment, and trunk were in very good condition with no rust. The body was stripped of all moldings, glass, handles, drive-train, and chrome. The body work was completed and the entire car was painted in clear coat Hemi Orange. The door jambs, engine compartment and trunk all match the body color as would be originally. All of the bumper brackets and metal components are powder coated and not painted. The bumpers are re-chromed, stainless is all highly polished, and the anodized bezels were redone to factory anodized brite-dip quality. New windshield and all other glass is very good. All rubber seals have been replaced including all of the glass seals and door seals. The car has the over-the-roof body side stripe in glossy black and has the correct vinyl top, which is brand new aas well. All emblems are NOS new. The undercarriage was power washed and the loose debris removed. INTERIOR: The interior is completely refurbished. This vehicle has the optional fold down rear seat and fold down access to the trunk. All seats are professionally recovered, the seat belts are near mint, the headliner is new; all plastic trim is in excellent condition, the door panels are brand new, all cranks and handles are perfect, and the dash was completely disassembled, painted and restored with a new dash pad. The carpets are new and the floor boards are rust free. The AM/FM radio works perfectly with the stock dash speaker. The console base is very good. The only thing that has not been replaced is the console top and console door top. There is minor pitting on these parts. Car will come with a replacement console with a new woodgrain insert. TRUNK: The trunk floor is very clean with no signs of rust. The truck has all of the stock panels and is carpeted as original. The jack and spare tire are in place. The jack has the optional jack cover and tail light dress-up cover. ENGINE: The engine was replaced with a remanufactured 318 motor. The engine has all new internal components and is built to stock specifications. I installed stock 340 HP exhaust manifolds, valve covers, and a stock 340 air cleaner with the vacuum activated air door, a brand new edelbrock 4BBL carburetor and intake manifold with an electronic choke. Every component on the engine is new. The AC system is completely new. New compressor, dryer, evaporator and ice cold R12. The AC hoses and tubes are original but are in very good condition. The cooling system is all new, including the radiator, heater core, water pump; car can idle for hours without overheating. The engine is painted in hemi orange and looks like new. The dual exhaust system is all new from the manifolds to the stock Dart Sport tips. Car will come with a remanufactured spare air conditioner compressor to ensure long life of the Air Conditioner system. TRANSMISSION: The transmission is professionally rebuilt 904 transmission with a new torque converter and transmission mounts. The drive shaft has new U-joints and is powder coated in chassis black. REAREND: The rear end was removed and checked for wear. The bearings and gears are in good condition with no signs of excessive wear. The seals were replaced, fluid changed and the housing was cleaned. The rear leaf springs and bushings are all brand new. The rear end is an 7 1/4 with 276 gears. Great cruiser gears. FRONT SUSPENSION AND STEERING: The K FRAME and suspension were removed from the vehicle. Every link, ball joint, and bushing was replaced. All components have been powder coated including the K FRAME. It just recently had a fresh front end alignment and everything checked and retorqed at the same time. BRAKES: The brake system is completely new. The master cylinder, brake booster, metal brake lines and rubber brake lines, calipers, wheel cylinders, rotors, front wheel bearings, brake shoes, and pads and hardware is all new. The emergency brakes cables were cleaned and lubricated. FUEL SYSTEM: New gas tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, rubber lines, fuel sender. WHEELS AND TIRES: YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF TWO WHEEL AND TIRE COMBINATIONS: The car has steel wheels, stainless dog dish Dodge caps and new BF Goodrich 225 70 R14 tires. The rims are painted Hemi Orange to match the vehicle. The tires are balanced and ready to go. OR At no additional cost, in place of the above listed wheels, you can choose a set of 4 beautifully chromed Dodge Rally rims with 1970 center caps, chrome lugs, and new BF Goodrich 225 70 R14 tires.
