The body and C4 transmission are also original. The transmission has been completely overhauled with less than 500 miles on it, and a new 302 with performance upgrades has been installed to preserve the original 289 while the current owner used it as a daily driver. The original 289 still runs great and is included with the car. Although it needs a some work to be perfect, it is in great overall condition, functionally and cosmetically. It could be a daily driver as is, or would make an easy starting point for full restoration or a show-car. The 302 runs great with plenty of power and torque without being extreme or noisy. The 289 also runs great and has new seals and a new timing chain. The car steers good, shifts great, and brakes better than new. The body is really solid and straight, and the car looks great overall. A great old original pony car. With 2 engines and very few modifications, you could go either way with this one--bring it back to 1966 or turn it into a modern hot-rod with retro style--it's up to you.
