Vehicle Detail
Here is a chance to own a excellent 641/2 Mustang D Code. Exterior color; Sunlight Yellow Interior; Black Vinyl Built ; May 29th 1964 Assembled Dearborn Mi. Delivered LosAngeles Ca. egine 289 4 Bl. Trans ; 4 speed Rear Axle 300:1 This is the most horsepower you could get in Mustang until the K code was offered in June of 1964. This car came out with the accent option , which was a stripe and rocker molding instead of the chrome inset. This is a rust free car with only 50,424 miles. It is unmolested with all the 64 1/2 traits. Generator, waffle seat belts, beveled hood, beveled headlight trim rings, different trunk mat pattern, frame mounted horns, correct recently rebuilt autolite caburetor, correct pulley for water pump and cranshaft. Also note the factory PVC air cleaner for California delivery. I am sure it came out with power steering and air conditioning that was removed. I have the remote resevoir for PS. I purchased the car from a man that had bought from relatives in California in 1985, and he only put about 4,000 miles on it till 07, when we bought it. It is one of those cars that you can tell it is low miles by the way the doors shut and window roll up and the way it drives and handles. It has had a cheap paint job years ago,I can't figure out why but they must have thought it would spruce it up . It will take minor body work and a complete paint job and new headliner installed, new crome door handles and bumpers and you would have a 20 thousand dollar + car. Espically if you put the air and power steering back in. Engine runs strong and we just installed new seat covers and padding this last year. Interior needs only the headliner and maybe door handles. There is a dent in the front of the hood, one in right rear quarter by the bumper, and one in the trunk, also the right outside door handle has been pushed in a little (see one of the pictures in gallery)all can be pulled and worked. I am starting it at the reserve. The car has a lot of potential for a purist, and that is what I wanted to do, but we have too many to take care of, so maybe a new owner could get to it sooner. Of course there isn't anything wrong with driving it as is. I am not interested in wheeler dealers, we don't HAVE TO sell the car, so if you don't really see the value we do, just move on. I have represented the car to best of my knowledge and will be glad to answer questions or make appointment to view the car. Ph. 660-346-0471 Thanks for looking.
