Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a very rare 1953 Chevrolet Handyman 4 door station wagon. I aquired this wagon from the estate of the original owner who used it for his job. I have a clear title. BODY: Body overall is fare and very restorable. There is rust in the front floor board and minimal rust in the bottom of the front doors. There is a dent in the roof. All of the parts are there and are very decent shape. Including chrome trip, bumpers, grill. Some very special things to note about these wagons are the rare parts that this one has. The rear bumper is specific to the GM wagons. The belt molding, as well as the doors, the rear gate. These parts will work on 53/54 Pontiac wagons as well. Body has been painted in the past. MECHANICAL: As with the body, it seems to be in fare shape for it's age. There is no engine or transmission. I do have a 235 6 cyl I can include at a slight additional cost. The car was a 3 speed manual (On the tree) and still has all of the linkage installed. The original torque tube rearend is still there. Car is a roller. INTERIOR: The interior is complete and very restorable. GLASS: Rear gate glass is broken, as well as a few of the side glass pieces. All is flat and easily made and or purchased from several vendors. Overall this vehicle is very restorable and will make a great car whether as a donor car for parts, or as a project. I will assist in the transport for loading, pick up arrangements etc. Delivery may be available locally. Deposit required at auctions end. NO RESERVE!! Car is for sale locally.
