1955 Chevy (55- 1st Series) Truck for sale (CLEAR TEXAS TITLE) DRIVES GREAT - READY FOR PAINT - This truck sits on a 2001 Chevy Silverado frame and suspension (DRIVES LIKE A NEW TRUCK – it just looks vintage) Modern LS1 engine, front suspension, power rack and pinion steering, and front disc brakes; This project is 95% complete and everything works great, drives smooth, no problems and no shortcuts, it’s like buying a brand new truck with a 55 body. Can be inspected and driven anytime…. Engine: 5.3L LS1 with mild performance cam. Fuel injection system was replaced with dual four carbs and tunnel ram (Drives great around town or highway…idles perfect) Fuel pressure controlled by a firewall mounted regulator. Transmission: Less than 100 miles on a rebuilt Turbo Hydamatic 400 transmission with shift kit (shifts great) Built in tranny cooler (tranny cooler in radiator isnt being used. I have a rail mount cooler attached on frame). Brakes: Front Disc Brakes Chrome power brake booster and master cylinder Cooling: 3 core aluminum radiator with chrome expansion tank (Cools great in HOT Texas Sun, never gets above 180) Wheels: 20 inch chrome Voodoo wheels Glass: New front and rear glass and new rubber. The corner glass was perfect and was re-installed with brand new rubber. Axle: 3.73 gears. Aluminum drive shaft and factory (2001) poly gas tank – Perfect Electrical: Brand new wiring harness (Painless Inc.) – all lights work, etc…no issues. Body: The Body is ROCK SOLID with NO RUST. Cab and bed have been blasted, etching primer immediately applied and then a final coat of black primer on top of that. Floors are Solid with new metal installed where needed (Professionally repaired) Ready for Carpet The rear fenders have been reworked with hammer/dolly by a local body shop and look good. The front fenders have a few small dents but are in great shape. Both outer doors are in excellent shape with new door rubber installed all the way around – Solid shutting doors. The very bottom section (less than 2”) of both doors inside have minor rust damage that has not yet been corrected, however the rusted areas have been blasted and etched primed to prevent future rust and needs new metal applied to be mint quality. They still look ok and the areas are hard to see unless you look very closely. The fix is very easy. Both outer cab corners have been professionally replaced and look perfect. Brand New Chrome tilt steering column and chrome steering wheel. Firewall mount brake pedal 2001 Chevy Silverado seats with built in seat belts. A floor console with automatic shifter out of a 2005 GMC. Truck has clear Texas title and is registered with Texas Antique plate. Trucks needs following to complete: Very minor body work (almost ready for paint), tailgate, wood in bed (or other material), upholstery, door window glass, windshield wiper motor, carpet. Lower inner door panels need replacing (see picture). I have all the original vent windows and frames; original heater with good heater core and new blower (12volt) motor. Grill is in decent shape with a few small dings. I do have an AC compressor and bracket for the 5.3 motor. I can have the truck inspected by any local mechanic of your choice in the Denison, Sherman area for serious bidders. This truck is dependable and can be driven anywhere any distance without any concerns. This is a VERY Powerful truck (very fast), that drives great down the road. Paint it the color of your choice and install carpet and finalize interior and you’ll have a $25,000 truck that you can drive across country in comfort and safety.
