Vehicle Detail

NOTE: The picture above was at the time of purchase. This vehicle is disassembled, in the process of restoration,or parting. Offered for Auction is a 1943 Chevrolet Surburban in the process of restoration. This vehicle is excellent for original restoration or parts. This vehicle was originally owned by the "Defense Plant Corporation". I have the original tag rivited inside for proof. This vehicle has an after market passenger side rear entry door added by the military, framed in wood, as is the door. The body has been totally disassembled, metal dipped, with rusted areas removed. Some areas of metal repair have been done. All chrome pieces removed have been replated, and are ready for reassembly. This includes bumpers, grills, exterior and interior door handles. The windsheild has been restored with frame replated, glass installed, seal in place ready for assembly. Bumper brackets have been restored and powder coated for assembly. Door locks have been restored. Front door window frames have been restored, and powder coated, glass installed, tracks clear coated, crank mechanisms cad plated, and ready for door reassembly. The fenders,headlight/parkinglight assemblies, hood, and engine bay pieces are all in excellent condition. The body components are all solid but and are now ready for repair and reassembly. The chassis and powertrain sits undisturbed except for some engine parts such as starter, exhaust manifold, carburetor removed, but all in my possesion. The engine is not the original "Stovebolt", but transmission back all appear to be original. This vehicle was initially purchased from California and shipped to KY. It ran the day we unloaded it from the truck.. The interior was not the original seating. Original plans were for restoration and hotrodding this vehicle. The loss of my good friend whom shared this hobby with me has now forced me to decide I will not complete this vehicle, and it needs to go to a capable new home. I will answer any questions as the auction evolves. There are many parts, hardware, original gasket material, oval bumper bolts, stainless pieces, headlight wiring pigtails already purchased. All interior wood pieces have been retained to model restoration, except the original wood floor. The "Harrison Heater core" has been recored and restored. Please specific questions are welcomed. I will be more than happy to help the buyer with transport of vehicle in radius of 100 miles. This means the buyer comes to pick vehicle up, and loads. If needed I have an enclosed trailer and wil "help" with transport, but will not be responsible for such. I also will be happy to be a resource with cataloguing, identifying parts. This item is relisted because the previous buyer did not follow through with the purchase, basically bid the auction up with no intention of purchase. I very much want to sell this. It can be used as described above, but most likely would be excellent for parts in the restoration of another early 42/46 chevy truck. Please contact me with any questions! I have had several questions. The photos are limitted, but I can send photo's on request. The top was removed and is inexistance hanging from my basement ceiling. It was originally bolted on to the vehicle at the original assembly. It was unbolted for removal, not "cut from the vehicle. It is solid, no dents. It will require some metal repair back in the area above the drip rails on both sides. Thanks for asking.
