Vehicle Detail

1979 PONTIAC T/A 6.6 1 This 1979 Trans Am has a beautiful metallic brown paint that looks dark when in the shade and lighter in full sun . I have taken pictures in all different light scenarios so you can see the car as it really looks. I just use natural light and the pictures are just as they come out of the camera. This car has alot of extra options and the only thing I see it is missing is T-tops. I have a copy of the build sheet that shows all the options. I will try to go into great detail to show all the extras as you look at the pictures. Please call me with any questions at 870 930 6104 between 8:00 AM and 8:00PM Central time. I will walk around the car answer any question as we talk. 2 This car was built in Van-Nuys, California and shipped to Palomar Motors in Escondido, California. This car is very clean underneath and very solid with no rust issues in the normal places. It shows 73,600 miles and it drives good and sounds great . I put new belts on it, fixed the A/C and charged it up. The air works but in 100 degree heat it could stand to be cooler. I was told they are not as good as today's cars. The drive train apears to be in great shape from the motor to the rear end. The motor is stout and sounds good. 3 I wlll let the pictures tell the story. I bought the car to just drive a little while and then sell it. I would guess the paint to be four to six years old. The car looks good with just a few little flaws as most cars have after thirty one years. The paint is good driver quality and it still turns heads and gets good compliments. I think these cars will continue to go up in value. 3a 4 Everything on the dash works except the tach. The car runs cool and the oil pressure is high. The car came from GM with a heavy cooling system. The radio is good, but the car does not have speakers, it just need a little TLC. 5 THE SHADE REFLECTION FROM THE TREES REALLY SHOW UP IN THIS SHINY PAINT. 6 7 The tires are like new and all four wheels are in great shape. It has disc brakes on all four . 9 Notice the dead grass reflection in the car. 10 The phoenix (big bird) looks great as all of the graphics do. Their is a couple places around the front wheel wells that the pin stripe is not perfect but it would be a easy fix with some new tape. 11 The carpet is new. 12 The camel interior looks good and I believe it to be original to the car, with the exception of the headliner being replaced. The driver's seat does have a tear. Power windows, door locks and tilt wheel all work just as they should. Seat and shoulder straps work and the shifter works just as it should. 13 I got the copy of the build sheet with the car when I bought it. The Pontiac Historical Society kept great records to verify production much better than Chevrolet. 14 The car does have a scratch above the wheel and has been touched up, but I wanted everyone to know it is there. 15 16 I have sold several cars early in the auction because people come look and buy. If this car is what you have been looking for call me and make me a reasonable offer. We can do the deal through Ebay which protects both of us. I always have one or two people call wanting to know why I stopped the sale. I just have to tell them it's sold. 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 All of the weatherstripping looks good but I put this picture to show this little flaw. I will glue it with black and it should look better. 25 26 One small ding at top rear close to the spoler, it came from something inside the trunk. 27 Their is a spot about the size of the end of your thumb where someone got a drop of brake fluid that made a spot. 28 30 31 The rear end is a posi that I think is the 273 that the build sheet shows. 33 34 I believe this is a good car and is all original with one repaint. I have driven it and would not list it if I did not believe it to be good. I am a retired farmer and buy and sell a few cars a year. I just traded my 57 Chevy for a 61 Corvette and now I do not have time for this one. I do have an Arkansas dealers license and I do not buy anything I would not want for myself, I do not know of anything mechanically that the car needs. 35 36 37 The only thing I can think of I might replace would be the shocks in the front. THIS CAR DOES HAVE THE SPECIAL PERFORMANCE PACKAGE WITH THE BIG SWAY BARS IN THE FRONT AND REAR. 38 The bottom would be an easy detail if it was cleaned real good. I just have too many projects going . 39 The trunk is solid and what you see is the glue that the trunk liner was stuck to, some of it stayed on the floor. I think after thirty plus years it could use a new one. 40 41 All the lights work both front and rear and I will replace the head light. 42 Terms of Sale The buyer will submit a NON-REFUNDABLE $1,000.00 deposit within 48 hours of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle. Deposit will be made through Paypal. No sort of checks will be accepted for deposit. Buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance due within 7 days of the acceptance of an offer or someone clicks the buy it now. Balance will be paid by wire transfer. All financial transactions must be completed before removal of vehicle. If deposit or balance is not received within time frame indicated, buyer will forfeit the right to purchase. If you cannot meet the terms of the auction, DO NOT MAKE AN OFFER! Ask any and all questions before bidding. I encourage you to view the car prior to buying car. You can call me at 870-930-6104 to ask questions or to schedule a time to view the vehicle. There is no warranty with the car. It is being sold AS IS, WHERE IS. The buyer is responsible for all costs for the car after the auction is over. Also, with my insurance company, the coverage ends when the auction ends and there is a buyer. The buyer will need to obtain coverage as soon as the auction is over. I will keep the car for up too 3 weeks in a garage free of charge unless other arrangements are made. As always, I have this item for sale locally and will end it prior to the auction ending if someone purchases it locally. Please call me at 870-930-6104 with any and all questions you may have before you bid. I will honestly answer your questions to the best of my knowledge. Thank you for bidding and good luck on your bidding.
