Up for auction is my girlfriend's 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT coupe. She absolutely loves this car, however thanks to being laid off we're selling off anything we don't absolutely need. The 3.0L V6 engine is very smooth and powerful while the 4 speed automatic transmission with tiptronic "manual" shifting mode shifts perfectly through all the gears. It currently has 104,741 miles on it which isn't much for the year. Since it's the GT it's fully loaded. Leather seats in excellent shape, power windows, locks, driver seat, sunroof, Infinity sound system... the works. It also has keyless entry and a factory anti-theft system. The body of the car is also in excellent condition with no rust, dents, or other notable damage. Even the leather wrapped steering wheel is still in excellent condition. The air conditioning is ice cold and the heat is super hot too! No weird rattles, squeaks, or anything. Has pretty nice 17" alloy rims that actually have all the center caps too! The best part about THIS specific Eclipse is that it just had some major stuff taken care of on it. When we got it the clearcoat paint on the car was very sunbaked so we had the whole car repainted it's original gloss black at Alonso's in Rockford and it looks pretty darn nice! It also has pretty new tires on it on all four corners so no worries there. The most recent thing we had done to it about a week ago was take it in to Balleno's Service in Woodstock and they replaced the timing belt, cam and crank seals, water pump, all the timing belt idler pulleys, and the timing belt tensioner. This was a major service that only needs to be done every 100,000 miles so the car is ready to rock and roll for quite awhile with nothing but oil changes and a new air filter here and there. All the brakes are in good working order as well. There's NOTHING that impacts the way this car runs and drives whatsoever. Of course, with being 10 years old there's a few minor things wrong. The passenger window motor is very tired and since it did get stuck down on us once before we just leave the window up all the time. The passenger side front turn signal lens has a crack in it and we haven't been able to find a suitable replacement from the junkyards around here as of yet. The sunroof works but sometimes needs a little push upward to open. Mitsubishi says it just needs to be regreased. I just ran the a/c instead since I wasn't fond of the sunlight in my eyes. That's really about it... nothing big. It doesn't leak anything on the ground, or in general. If it wasn't for the money thing we'd keep it until the wheels fell off so it's a darn good car. I can pick you up from the Rockford airport, Ohare airport, or the Rockford Greyhound bus stop. Car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to terminate the auction at any time.
