You are bidding on a Green 1999 VW new Jetta GL 4 cylinder automatic with beige cloth interior. I am the original owner of this car purchased in August 1999 at Holbert VW in Warrington, PA. It has never been in an accident. It has received regular servicing and repairs at a VW dealer in DE, PA, or AZ. All PA inspections were always performed at VW dealer. It has always been a non smoking vehicle. It has anti-lock breaks, driver-side airbag, passenger side airbag, and side airbags. The full size original tire is included as the spare(VW provides a real tire for spare). The tires only have about 5,000 miles in wear and were purchased in December 2009 from Smith VW. It has an antitheft system, as well as remote locking via the key. The windows are manual. The car also comes with used custom VW rubber floor mats. Original owner’s manual included, as well as the remote door lock key and the valet key. Next inspection is needed 8/10. Condition. The car is running well and recently has only functioned as a 1-95 commuter car from Philly to Wilmington, DE. The engine was replaced at 100k at Garnet VW in West Chester, PA in 2006. The AC does work, but will need more freon to actually cool the car cabin sufficiently. The battery was replaced in December 2008 at Smith VW. Recently, the ABS light has occasionally lit up, but then has not stayed lit up for any extended period and often has gone off during the same driving period. The last time I turned on the car, it was currently on. The drink cup holder in the front broke a few years ago, an issue common with this model. It was recommended by VW servicing that the parking brake is getting rusty due to age and should not be used. The paint is peeling in some areas and there are definitely a few scratches from parking on the Center City streets of Philadelphia. The car spent roughly 4 years in Arizona(land where car bodies last forever because of the dry heat), and has no visible rust issues. I honestly loved driving this car, and found the handling is fantastic and the engine is very peppy despite being a 4 cylinder.
