Vehicle Detail
Black on black 2001 Cobra 55K Miles New Motor in at 46K New Tranny In at 47K The History: Vehicle was purchased in September of 2003 with very few mods. Car was my daily driver for over a year before Vortech Supercharger was installed. Built shortblock was swapped in shortly after supercharger (for reliability). T56 6-Speed transmission was also installed shortly after for reliability. Car was driven for about a year before turbo was purchased and installed. I purchased a house shortly after (early 2007) and the car was stored (driven very little if at all) The Installation of the turbo was finished but some tuning issues remain (which I will list below) I've purchased yet another home and don't want my baby going to waste anymore (she deserves better) Car is almost done, just needs someone to take the project the last few steps as I no longer have the desire. Car has clean Nevada title in hand, and is being soldly completely as is. Car has always been a desert car and has absolutely no rust or corrosion. Motor: 2003 Cobra Iron Block 2001 Cobra Forged Crankshaft Manley H Rods Manley Pistons Speed Pro Moly Rings ARP Studs Ford High Flow Oil Pump Stock 2001 Cobra Heads with 5 Angle Valve Job Stock 2001 Cobra Cams Stock 2001 Exhaust manifolds (For use with the Turbo) 2003 Cobra Tank / Pumps w/ 40AMP BAP (I have the wiring upgrade for the BAP but it is not installed, it will be included with purchase) 2003 Cobra MAF with MAFia Borla Turbo Cat-back Power Adder: Hellion 03-04 Cobra Turbo Kit T-76 Head Unit Tranny and Drivetrain: T56 Transmission w/ 2003 Cobra Clutch Tri-Ax Shifter with MGW handle Aluminum Driveshaft 4.10 Rear End Rear End otherwise stock (save for bushings and what not) Suspension: Tubular QA1 K-Member and A-Arms Coil Over Front Suspension Kenny Brown Rear Springs Subframe Connectors Bump-steer kit (Front and rear) Body: Saleen S281 Hood (functional not a replica) 2003 Cobra Front / Rear Bumpers 2003 Cobra Deck Lid Saleen 18x10 Gunmetal Wheels (Replica) Paint is in overall good condition with the exception of 1 area near the drivers side keyhole (see pictures) Brand new headlamps have recently been installed (old ones had road wear and scratches) Black tinted rear tail lights (not cheap covers) Interior and Misc: Bullit Pedals Electronic Fuel / Oil Gauage Water temp gauge (to rear of block) Boost Gauge Double DIN DVD player / stereo head unit with Ipod integration MB Quart Speakers throughout (with new wiring and crossovers) Amp to power internal Speakers Seats and interior are in good condition, no tears rips or issues. The vehicle has a battery relocation kit to the trunk (was used when car had supercharger with aftercooler) There are many other misc "little" parts installed throughout car that are too numerous too list. Extras: I will also include the original hood and trunk lid with this purchase. Car will come with a brand new set of Goodyear Eagle F1 rear tires (never installed) If "Buy it Now" purchase is made I will include the V1 S-Trim Supercharger kit with Aftercooler (RR 2.9 Pulley) It is complete save for a few possible missing hardware pieces that should be easy to get from any hardware store) This kit could be sold to offset some of the price. I will also include a set of Resonant Engineering subs with amp (2x SE10s) in a custom box built for the trunk. Known issues: Car has exhaust leaks from turbo installation. All leaks are after exhaust manifolds (in the turbo piping) I have always meant to take it to an exhaust shop but haven't had the money or time. Does not affect operation of turbo. Just several minor leaks. Tune is a canned tune for the turbo (very very rich) A dyno tune would be needed to get the mostbang for the buck as far as power and driveability. Vehicle still idles and drives fine. Car has a drain on the electrical system system that I have not tracked down. Not sure where it might be but I suspect its in the stereo. If the car sits for several days it will no longer start without charging the battery. The return oil line from the turbo to the pan has a slight leak at the pan (I've attampted to correct but it still drips slightly) Car needs alignment after front suspension install (Tubular A-Arms and K-Member were installed for turbo) Car is completely driveable as-is. These issues would be on my short list of things to do to ensure better all around performance. I will consider shipping vehicle at buyers expense but prefer buyer pickup vehicle in person.
