This 1979 model MG Midget 1500 Rally Sport (Build date on plate 07/78) was bought locally as a non-runner. Engine now runs ok. New HD battery. This is an unfinished project. Has wire wheels that fit the standard hubs - not centre knock ons. ****RELISTED DUE TO A FRIEND SAYING THEY WANTED MY CAR AND NOT TO SELL IT THEN BACKING OUT AS THEY THOUGHT IT WAS A MAZDA(?) Buyer is responsible for all/any applicable sales taxes for their state. The car has some missing wheel nuts. There are enough to hold the wheels securely so that it can be trailered/towed. 4 good tires. Has a cd/radio This car has been sprayed silver and I think underneath it used to be dark green. Some rust, may require new front floor pans at some stage but I've seen far worse. Body panels and what I can tell of the main structural beams all appear ok. This is an old car that has been neglected. Gears - it can be put into all gears and moves back and forth on my driveway. As mentioned, only front brakes. I started by getting the engine running, new HP fuel pump fitted and fuel bled. I have removed the CA emissions canisters and air filter and have only a stone guard over the carb intake at present. But these and the original air filter box are supplied with the car as are the original old seatbelts. The cloth roof does have some minor splits due to previous owners not knowing how to correctly fold one of these tops. Seats are unbolted but resting in the car. I do not believe these are original MG seats and in any case they are filthy and in need of replacement or at least new covers. Trunk needs a new rubber seal - there isn't one at all at present. Has a high performance exhaust that splits the single pipe into two then four. This is fairly recent. Although in need of a good clean, previous owner had purchased new interior mats, cloth etc. Front dashboard also has the full cover replacement top fitted. Original is underneath and the replacement was purchased as a low cost alternative to replacing the original which has a split. Wipers need new rubbers and washers need attention.
