Vehicle Detail

Ok. so you are looking at one cool Dneper bike with sidecar. This unit is 650cc with reverse. Dnepers are made in the Ukraine and are a copy of the BMWr71 that was made during the war just as is the Ural which is made in Russia. This particular machine i bought from a friend and it had been sitting for quite some time. The bike only has 73 kms on the clock this is a comon occurance with Dnepers as they were very unreliable due to there electrical system and there carburetors. This bike i have replaced the relic coil with a honda unit and ive adjusted the points and set the timing and now it starts on a regular basis. It still needs to have the Mikuni carb conversion to make it a reliable bike. Ive gone over the bike and tightened all the loose bolts and spokes that i could find, build quality was not the best in the Ukraine. All fluids have been changed and yes oil leaks from all over the place, This thing has personallity. I replaced the cables and the carb boots (new parts are readily available and cheap)and had new handlebars made to look more like the BMW ( still needs grips) and put a muffler on from a modern Triumph as the original was crusty and ugly. The bike is solid but needs a little TLC, ive left it dirty and oily as i like the old riden patina, even though it hasnt been.My friend i bought it from had to get a new title for the bike so the title is a clear PA title but under make of vehicle it has special construction and there is no year listed. No title problems just thought you should know.I do not know what year the bike is as they made them unchanged for 40 years starting in 1974 for the overhead valve models. There is a cover for the sidecar and factory tool kit and workshop manual. There is a 2'' hole in the sidecar seat as a mouse needed a home for the winter.all the chrome parts have rust as do some other bits. This is a fun headturner. Please feel free to call with questions as i'm sure there are many. Thanks Nick 443-504-9357
